Mazak lathe switching to Chucking internal Jaws

Mazak lathe Nexus 250. Learn how to chuck from Internal Diameter.
Go in parameters and change the parameter R49 bit zero to zero. So the new parameter should look like 00001010 for holding the pc from ID or internal diameter and to hold the pc from OD or Outer diameter the default parameter setting is 00001011.

I normally run a Dosan. How I set my jaws I call out my bore bar in mdi t0606 then I set my jaws for the for the od of the material for the job. I am just learning about Mazak lathes. thanks

Is there a specific perameter number for the jaw size. Or is it all the same? Why the 0001010 number?

I HAVE A QUESTION
IS IT SAME JOB FOR MAZAK 18M QUICK TURN LATHE because i switched chuck from external to internal it worked evrything was normal but when i would to return back to extrnal like normal the machine would not even i switched the key to its external postion

Hi for 18M it might be a little different. Sometimes pressing the open/close lever by foot while switching the chuck internal/external jaws helps too.

today we made a call to mazak custmer service the guy said same as you but it still not switching it still in internal jaws we well see with maintenance technichien maybe there is some sensor not working proporly

Is this applicable to nexus 500 lathe mazak? The is chuck malfunction when change to internal chucking

I see your TPS button is a grey screen button as is on the integrex I work on. I’ve found plenty of information regarding a soft key TPS, but not this. Do you know how to use TPS on this machine?

boyz on roll No specific operation, but just to know how to ‘escape’ without having to start the op again. If the soft key was present, I would know how to use it, but as I said in my first post, it is a grey tile on the screen (there is also another small tile on the screen with TPS on it that is bright green). The grey tile then disappears when i press ‘memory’ and changes to ‘restart’. I am currently training and the two lads showing me aren’t interested in finding out, they are happy to start a long cut from the beginning again and cut fresh air.

When you change feed or speed while machine is running and you press vfc, the new feeds and speeds will change in your program when the cycle ends.

I just a set up machine ,but I got a problem because my machine just stop without arlarm on ,then I have to push start button on machine to get it run.I think on parameter or ladder need to check,but I don't know about that ,so I really want to learn to fix that problem,thank you.
