As someone studying to become an English teacher for foreign students, I think English as a language is very easy to become conversational in.
Very difficult to master, of course, but flexible enough to where you could butcher an entire sentence and still be perfectly understood. I think people like Chigusa and Toko just need that initial push to get a tutor and not use Duolingo and they'll be off!

Nagao's passion english is the way to go. Just don't go way too deep if there's no reason to because it's a frankenstein's monster of a language where spelling bee is a famous competition lmao

good, idk how english ended up to be the international language but its great to have one in case both parties dont have similar language to speak with each other.

      War.
As simple as that, it became the "international lamguage" through violence

When she's saying "ookini thank you" that's just a Kansai thank you and an English thank you, right?
By the way I just found your channel, but I've been looking for an Inui clipper, so that's a sub

I'd say it's her usual "ookini maido" (maido being short for "thank you for your continued patronage", as she works in a café) with the latter word changed to a "thank you". "Ookini" in Kansai dialect is indeed an abbreviation of a thank you, but it can also stand on its own as an... emphasiser? So it's just a "thank you a lot" or "much appreciated", but I wanted the "thank you" to come last in the subs, because it's also last in the speech... Small unimportant detail, but that's how I roll. Thank you for the sub!
