Honestly, keep watching these old theories as you progress, it’s nostalgic in a way seeing a time capsule of how everyone was thinking back then, the directions the games could go in, like solving a mystery novel piece by piece and is in a way a part of the experience, rather than skipping straight to what is “presently” considered the truth, the journey is usually more satisfying than the conclusion, cause then it’s over
Even though MatPat’s earliest theories ended up falling through when Scott would retcon and fit-form some details down the line, his theories sparked many fan-animations and songs by artists who took the assumed lore and made lyrics and stuff. 2015-2019 was just a chain reaction of theories turned into art and music, and it was really cool imo! There’s one song called “Not Here All Night” that was made around the time of FNAF3, and it’s from the perspective of Mike hearing the Phone Guy’s messages, but by the bridge, phone guy’s voice gets distorted and aggressive-an interpretation based on theories like this that the phone guy was ALSO the killer and trying to silence Michael! Pretty cool stuff if I do say so!
Oh yes, the FnaF songs. I would say that The Living Tombstone nailed the lore when it comes to their lyrics. A fun fact about the ET game that Matpat mentioned: it was such a massive failure (in quality and commercial reception) that it’s commonly referred to as the game that almost destroyed the video game industry. Fnaf 2 is literally my favorite of the original 4 games. ❤ But the game theory video that you watched is a it outdated. So you could to watch some more recent theory videos later!
Purple Guy, after a long days work, was extremely hungry. You may be wondering why he didn't just have dinner at Freddy's, but truth be told, he hated the pizza there. They blew all their budgets on good tablecloths.
Final Thoughts: as someone who hasn’t paid too much attention to this series (let alone it’s lore), I find it really enjoyable to watch alongside Weeby and hear her commentary on the series :DDD 2:17 (I also screamed like Weeby) 13:55 (no actual scream but just in case) 14:34 (also no audio) 17:04 (no audio) 17:15 (no audio) 17:58 33:04 35:20 36:36 (DAMNIT ;-;)
Actually really happy how you're doing this. A lot of people kinda just start with 'the ultimate timeline', however i think that's kinda a bad way to start? It's not only massive but also very unfriendly for new fnaf fans, who hope to learn all fnaf lore from it (not only is it a narrative and therefore lots of little bits are left out, but while it explains some things, there are some things the fnaf community just knows about nowadays). I always recommend watching a handful or if you have the time all prior fnaf game theories. It's long, but it gives such a better understanding of the lore overall
I was pretty hyped seeing you react to game theory's videos on fnaf like they can be pretty wild at times but they're really fun, they're def super informative fr
Surprised how many people are hating on her watching this. Not only is it fun to watch the theories in order to gradually understand everything in the order that longtime fans have, but this is one of the only theories that Scott has confirmed was almost 100% correct.
Its not surprising. The fnaf community is legitimatly worse than the warhammer community when it comes to backseating, unsolicited advice, and demands.
Seeing weeby push aside the thought about time travel really makes you realise how off the rails the franchise has gone with its lore since, while there is no time travel in the games, the first fazbear frights book had a time traveling ball pit
The Chica screamer caught me off guard so bad ;_; I love that you play the games and watch the old videos and theories for that game. You can enjoy all the lore and questions and everything we had. I'll be waiting for your new videos! P. S.: The Naegi sprite joke made laugh so much hahaha
In the beginning, we didn't have a state location where the games took place, but later on, when Scott made his first book series, the event took place in Hurricane Utah.
I won't spoil anything but I will say that time travel exist in one way in FNAF. But stick with Matpat's FNAF theory videos and stay open minded. Because there will be times things you once thought went one way will get changed or twisted. That's only do to each new game that come/coming out with new lore in them. 😅
@elijahsmall5873 If you're not referring to that book, you may need to recheck your fnaf knowledge. I could be wrong, but I have the book and read it. So I don't think I am.
33:57 her name is JJ and i have bad news for you lol :) haha so Purple Phone was from his 1st FNAF theory 😁, he got something wrong but still pretty cool for a start Matt and Scott have some kind of rivalry :), Scott definitely love to troll his fans and there was one time Matt and his wife fall for 1 really bad, oh he was mad 😂 !, in one of the FNAF book a character motion Game Theory, recently i've crossed a video call " Scott Cawthon appearing in Matpat's dreams (ft.Ash)" i find it pretty funny it doesn't have any spoilers if you'r curiouse about it, even in his dreams Scott's haunting him 😂 edit : i had forgotten that Purple Phone is a ship name 😅😂 edit 2 : unfortunately there is no Freadbear's Diner game BUT in an interview with the youtuber Dawko ( don't be surpris if his name is motioned a lot he's one of the big FNAFtubers, Scott and Steel Wool sometimes give him special details for the future games like screen shots to show in his charity streams and sometimes he can interview them :) ) Steel Wool developpers motioned that they would love to do that one day so maybe there's hope ! i think maybe Foxy's Phone Guy's favorite because Scott's sons helped him with that one, i like to think it's the case at least :)
Yeah, there’s a lot in these early lore videos that has been debunked. I suggest watching Matpats most recent FNAF Timeline videos for the up to date lore.
@@3clisp315 Suggesting isn't, but the videos themselves contain spoilers for future entries by virtue of covering future content she hasn't seen/played yet.
Nah, technically theses videos are true if you consider the series at the release of fnaf 2. Why watch videos that use arguments from future entries in the saga that she has not played yet ? Its better to experience the lore game by game with all the retcons. Thats litteraly how we experienced it first when the series started. Like even name dropping william afton seems absurd in the context of fnaf 2
5:13 the Fazbear Frights book series (written by Scott Cawthon and other authors i think) incorporates key elements from the FNAF games, and the first story in the series was about time travelling to 1985 😭But don't worry the books are mostly non-canon 6:58 according to the Silver Eye book trilogy (another FNAF book series, but unconnected to both Fazbear Frights and the game events), FNAF takes place in Utah of all places lol
According to Scott Cawthon, Game Theory got ALMOST everything correct. I will say who he concludes the killer is and what suit he wears does get debunked in the next game so don't take the final conclusion as fact but the rest of the stuff to do with the timeline is correct.
What I love about this is that most of the info in this video is super outdated, and I love seeing you go on the same journey everyone else did, piecing it together as you go game to game. You're getting a brief view of what things were like back in time. It rules.
I'd check the ultimate yimeline if I were you. It's the most up-to-date story that includes everything. But I think it's best to first play through every game until either VR or security breach
It's funny and nostalgic to see Matpat's old theory videos. Seeing some of his old theories are wrong, like the phone guy is purple guy lmao, good ol' days 😂 Still I really recommend you to watch Matpat's Fnaf: The ultimate timeline, like how your friend "blaze" did. But it's your choice, I'd still watch the old theory videos. 😃
I like how you are diving into to fnaf (lore and game) bit by bit for the ultimate experience, instead of watching matpat's ultimate timeline immediately since that one had a lot of spoilers.. hope to see you on fnaf 3 gameplay and the rest of the games and lore videos!
Something he didn't say in the video (and if i'm correct) is that the bite of the 87 happened in this game to the nightguard, when you beat the custom night you play as a new guard (something Schitmz) that appear at the end screen on a paper. Why you play as a new guard instead of the old one? Many theorize that when the old guard worked the dayshift the next day its when the bite happened, and the one who did it was Mangle. But i saw this theory many years ago so idk if its correct.
Funny thing is in his 1st video he stated that the $4 pay was below minimum wage for 2014 but missed that it would also be below minimum wage for 1993. The only year that would fit was 1990.
Her seeing these theories and thinking that the golden freddy suit was used in the murders and her thinking that phone guy is purple guy, had just clicked in my mind that this *is a canon event* for all new fnaf fans
Watching his first theories on these games after all his new ones is wild. These were the most logical conclusions to come to at the time, and no one could've guessed the direction it would go in.
I think the best bet would be to play all the mainline games yourself, and watch as little thepries on tjem as possible. Super Horror Bro's videos should be fine to watch tho. And you can watch the Ultimate Fnaf timeline by Matpat after you've done digesting the playthrough and all the face value (and non theory) analysis of those games.
5:07 funny you said that because in the FNAF book "Into The Pit" there is a time travelling ball pit 😂 also fun fact : originaly he wanted to make a theory about Slender Man but after (i don't exactly remember the details 😅) he was hesitating between making this video or a FNAF one because it was geting a lot of attention (it was around halloween so he wanted something creepy ), so i think he asked the fans which they wanted him to make and they choose FNAF, now look were our boy's at 😊, i'm sure FNAF helped his channel a lot, if it was not for his FNAF theories i don't think i would've known him
There is one more secret ester egg in FNAF 2, but i've seen only Markiplier seen it. It's when Golden Freddy's head appears at the center hall slightly and it's very hard to see
I suggest when you progress through the series watch the older theories and once you’ve played all the games I suggest watching Matpats ultimate timeline that came out this year ❤
Phone guy is not purple guy The killer did not use the golden freddy suit Mat was wrong 😭 but your brain can still wonder who purple guy is and which suit was used to lure the kids. Might be answered in the next game or a different game 👀
if there's anything i'm happy to see from you, weeby, it's the fact that you're willing to challenge and comment on your beliefs in comparison to the theroy instead of just taking it as fact, even with your limited information
You looking at the old timeliness video matpat made, he remastered it calling the video "the ultimate fnaf timeline" that one is more updated and accurate
Your thoughts about FNAF 1 in the beginning make me wonder something now 🤔 I wonder if Scott originally had intended to use those recordings to tell Jeremy that the phone guy was killed by the animatronics and stuffed into the Golden Freddy suit around night 4/5. It flashes “It’s Me” all over the place and we get that wild recording on night 5, and GF becomes increasingly active with a higher chance of appearing from night 5 forward if I remember right. It’s not the case now because we have sequels…but I wonder about the original direction Scott went with a lot of these games before their respective sequels were put out…and that made me wonder about that with the phone guy again lol. Anyways, loving these! Glad you’re enjoying this series so much, and digging into these games and the lore, it’s a pretty wild ride going through it all and it just keeps getting wilder with 2023 giving us so much FNAF 🍕 🎉
Do not read this if you dont want to be spoilers Its funny seeing MatPat theories back then compared to now and its also funny hearing him say stuff that we didnt know back then was Wrong
Since this isn't mentioned in the future games i want to tell you that the toy animatronics, which are the newer versions, ARE possesed. There were five more dead kids in the minigame in the fnaf 2 location that had their bodies sprawled around the pizzeria. They go on to become Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Balloon Boy (or billy as you call him), and Mangle.

I actually really like this format of an gameolay ep then a lore ep and would love if you keep it up till you finish all the games and also it would be really helpfull for the lore if you react to matpats game theory last trilogy about the complete story after you finish all the games!
"Please say there's not time travel involved"
Ball pits: 👀
Her: "What if there is like, time travel involved?"
The Books: Allow us to introduce ourselves! 😊
Final Thoughts: as someone who hasn’t paid too much attention to this series (let alone it’s lore), I find it really enjoyable to watch alongside Weeby and hear her commentary on the series :DDD
2:17 (I also screamed like Weeby)
13:55 (no actual scream but just in case)
14:34 (also no audio)
17:04 (no audio)
17:15 (no audio)
17:58
33:04
35:20
36:36 (DAMNIT ;-;)
Actually really happy how you're doing this. A lot of people kinda just start with 'the ultimate timeline', however i think that's kinda a bad way to start? It's not only massive but also very unfriendly for new fnaf fans, who hope to learn all fnaf lore from it (not only is it a narrative and therefore lots of little bits are left out, but while it explains some things, there are some things the fnaf community just knows about nowadays). I always recommend watching a handful or if you have the time all prior fnaf game theories. It's long, but it gives such a better understanding of the lore overall
I was pretty hyped seeing you react to game theory's videos on fnaf
like they can be pretty wild at times but they're really fun, they're def super informative fr
"Surely theres no time travel in five nights at Freddy's"
Me: *sweats nervously* it is... in one of the books-
Surprised how many people are hating on her watching this.
The Chica screamer caught me off guard so bad ;_;
I love that you play the games and watch the old videos and theories for that game. You can enjoy all the lore and questions and everything we had.
I'll be waiting for your new videos!
P. S.: The Naegi sprite joke made laugh so much hahaha
Weeby: there can’t be time travel
Into the pit:
(5:07 )
5:16 Yeah, Nope the Ballpit from the Books
Its not cannon but we can’t forget about the time traveling ball pit in the fazbear frights books. The only recorded instance of time travel in FNAF
5:16 Nobody mention the time traveling ballpit to her. Ignorance is bliss. 😂
“Surely there’s not time travel…”
If you know, you know…
weeby i look forward to the fnaf vids so much i really hope your enjoying the series and i hope the vids keep on coming
Time travel doesn’t exist at all in Fnaf. The thing you are referring to doesn’t actually have time traveling abilities.
@elijahsmall5873 If you're not referring to that book, you may need to recheck your fnaf knowledge.
I could be wrong, but I have the book and read it. So I don't think I am.
33:57 her name is JJ and i have bad news for you lol :)
haha so Purple Phone was from his 1st FNAF theory 😁, he got something wrong but still pretty cool for a start
Matt and Scott have some kind of rivalry :), Scott definitely love to troll his fans and there was one time Matt and his wife fall for 1 really bad, oh he was mad 😂 !, in one of the FNAF book a character motion Game Theory, recently i've crossed a video call " Scott Cawthon appearing in Matpat's dreams (ft.Ash)" i find it pretty funny it doesn't have any spoilers if you'r curiouse about it, even in his dreams Scott's haunting him 😂
edit : i had forgotten that Purple Phone is a ship name 😅😂
edit 2 : unfortunately there is no Freadbear's Diner game BUT in an interview with the youtuber Dawko ( don't be surpris if his name is motioned a lot he's one of the big FNAFtubers, Scott and Steel Wool sometimes give him special details for the future games like screen shots to show in his charity streams and sometimes he can interview them :) ) Steel Wool developpers motioned that they would love to do that one day so maybe there's hope !
i think maybe Foxy's Phone Guy's favorite because Scott's sons helped him with that one, i like to think it's the case at least :)
Yeah, there’s a lot in these early lore videos that has been debunked. I suggest watching Matpats most recent FNAF Timeline videos for the up to date lore.
she doesnt want spoilers
@@gdstar6917 suggesting to watch a better more accurate lore video to better help her understanding is not spoiling
@@3clisp315 Suggesting isn't, but the videos themselves contain spoilers for future entries by virtue of covering future content she hasn't seen/played yet.
@@3clisp315thats the problem , the timeline video IS spoilers since its all over the place , she wants to go in order
“Surely there’s not time travel involved in five nights at Freddy’s, surely not”
Who’s gonna tell her about the ball pit
These theories really bring me back to elementary school
I love matpats old theories cause he just had no idea what was coming, also if he calls Charlie a boy one more time im gonna lose it 😭
5:13 the Fazbear Frights book series (written by Scott Cawthon and other authors i think) incorporates key elements from the FNAF games, and the first story in the series was about time travelling to 1985 😭But don't worry the books are mostly non-canon
6:58 according to the Silver Eye book trilogy (another FNAF book series, but unconnected to both Fazbear Frights and the game events), FNAF takes place in Utah of all places lol
It rules.
It would have been interesting to have phone guy as purple guy
I'd check the ultimate yimeline if I were you. It's the most up-to-date story that includes everything. But I think it's best to first play through every game until either VR or security breach
Its so weird seeing mat get some things wrong even though the other games werent out yet so he didn’t have new evidence
Everything is cyclical and in the past he was often wrong and now he is often wrong
Oh my god mat pats old video style 😭
"Surely there is not timetravel in FNAF, right?"
... So who is going to tell her, lol? (Cries in ball pit)
It's funny and nostalgic to see Matpat's old theory videos. Seeing some of his old theories are wrong, like the phone guy is purple guy lmao, good ol' days 😂
Still I really recommend you to watch Matpat's Fnaf: The ultimate timeline, like how your friend "blaze" did. But it's your choice, I'd still watch the old theory videos. 😃
i know you've been back for a while but idk im just very happy that after your hiatus you came back and are here :] love your personality
We dont have time travel until we get to the books with the time traveling ball pit.
27:57 They're asking you to save the kids that are scattered through the building.
"surely there's not time travel in fnaf"
Into the pit: *laughs*
"sure there wont be time travel in fnaf", ma'an you better not read into the pit
What the fnaf lore has been put together now is confusing and chaotic
I like how you are diving into to fnaf (lore and game) bit by bit for the ultimate experience, instead of watching matpat's ultimate timeline immediately since that one had a lot of spoilers.. hope to see you on fnaf 3 gameplay and the rest of the games and lore videos!
5:10-5:14 👀
...No one tell her about the ball pit from the books lol
Weeby: Surely there's not freaking time travel in Fnaf
Me: OH GOD PLEASE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW YOU'RE GIVING THE CREATOR IDEAS
😱🙀
When he talked about ET and you said "I never even heard of that game."
...I felt so damn old at that point lol
I think the best bet would be to play all the mainline games yourself, and watch as little thepries on tjem as possible. Super Horror Bro's videos should be fine to watch tho. And you can watch the Ultimate Fnaf timeline by Matpat after you've done digesting the playthrough and all the face value (and non theory) analysis of those games.
weeby: "surely fnaf dosent have time travel"
me: *looks at the bookseries*',"yeah deffinetly not"
Fun fact Weeby, once you play sister location, you can watch the first two parts of Matpat’s ultimate timeline without having to worry about spoilers.
Mediocre Melodies, Fredbear's Singing Show.
5:07 funny you said that because in the FNAF book "Into The Pit" there is a time travelling ball pit 😂
also fun fact : originaly he wanted to make a theory about Slender Man but after (i don't exactly remember the details 😅) he was hesitating between making this video or a FNAF one because it was geting a lot of attention (it was around halloween so he wanted something creepy ), so i think he asked the fans which they wanted him to make and they choose FNAF, now look were our boy's at 😊, i'm sure FNAF helped his channel a lot, if it was not for his FNAF theories i don't think i would've known him
Happy retirement Matpat
actually Matpats make an error about the suit that the purple guy used, it wasn't the Golden Freddy's suit, it was another.
Yayy I was excited for this!
"I hope there's no time travel in fnaf"
Please no one tell her about the ballpit
There is one more secret ester egg in FNAF 2, but i've seen only Markiplier seen it.
It's when Golden Freddy's head appears at the center hall slightly and it's very hard to see
Matpat was spitting HERESY in this video 💀
"golden freddy killer"
💀💀💀
"Surely there's no time travel in Fnaf"
*Nervously laughs in time-traveling ball pit*
Regarding Time travel…
Ball pit. That’s all I’m saying.
Ball pit.
Weeby: What if there's time travel oh God please don't let there be time travel
Into the pit: OH HELLO THERE
I suggest when you progress through the series watch the older theories and once you’ve played all the games I suggest watching Matpats ultimate timeline that came out this year ❤
Phone guy is not purple guy
The killer did not use the golden freddy suit
Mat was wrong 😭 but your brain can still wonder who purple guy is and which suit was used to lure the kids. Might be answered in the next game or a different game 👀
if there's anything i'm happy to see from you, weeby, it's the fact that you're willing to challenge and comment on your beliefs in comparison to the theroy instead of just taking it as fact, even with your limited information
‘Hopefully Theres Not time travel involved!!’
Into the pit:
Fun fact Et was a game that was so bad they buried it in a land field.
I don't recommend watching a theory video from 8 years ago to understand the story.
You looking at the old timeliness video matpat made, he remastered it calling the video "the ultimate fnaf timeline" that one is more updated and accurate
looking back at these old lore videos really shows how wrong we were with these theories. There is like soooo much more to it than this
“I hope there’s no time travel in Five Nights at Freddy’s…” (Laughs in ballpit)
Your thoughts about FNAF 1 in the beginning make me wonder something now 🤔
I wonder if Scott originally had intended to use those recordings to tell Jeremy that the phone guy was killed by the animatronics and stuffed into the Golden Freddy suit around night 4/5.
5:18 cries pitifully in book lore: yeah yeah I know time travel oh no hahahahaha
The Purple Guy is William Afton and in a different video, MattPatt says he’s crazy…
Do not read this if you dont want to be spoilers
Its funny seeing MatPat theories back then compared to now and its also funny hearing him say stuff that we didnt know back then was Wrong
"Surely there's not freaking time travel in Five Nights at Freddy's"
*stares in Fazbear Frights*
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the video that Scott was like MattPat got the lore perfect except for 1 point (purpleguy=phoneguy)
No that was one of his Fnaf 4 videos
Since this isn't mentioned in the future games i want to tell you that the toy animatronics, which are the newer versions, ARE possesed. There were five more dead kids in the minigame in the fnaf 2 location that had their bodies sprawled around the pizzeria. They go on to become Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Balloon Boy (or billy as you call him), and Mangle.
"The next games will probably be prequels too right"
Fnaf fans:"Who will tell her?"
You’re so foul for that jumpscare LMFAO
