I wholeheartedly agree with you on the sixth statement. I was guilty of it too once, because the only kind of people I associated with tarot were the late night tarot TV ladies who'd answers questions from ailing grandmas and stay-at-home wives who thought their husbands were cheating on them. It was all very woo-woo in my eyes. Since then I grew to love tarot because of the art of Robin Wood tarot deck, when I saw the Magician card I was sold. I'm a secular reader which means I use tarot as a psychological self-reflection tool and my only ritual before doing a reading for myself is taking some soap and antiseptic and washing my hands thoroughly. I don't call upon deities, angels, guardians or any spirits. Frankly I don't really believe in any of those. For me tarot is a deck of pretty cards that helps me see certain situations I'm going thru in a new light.
… that you don’t have to read reversals. :) I got my first deck in 1987. Second deck (that has been rehomed) a couple years ago and my third a couple weeks ago. I find such comfort when I can accept something because it is not coming from “me”. Haha. I only read for myself. But it is so great to be able to contemplate both positive and negative without it being accusatory or imposter syndrome. As in “why yes my skills ARE awesome and I will use them to make life better.” Negative self talk seems to fly away.
& back in Middle Ages it was used as a way to spend time in a fun way ^^ & insightful... like ig that'd be my fav game 2... wish to be able to buy a deck, & I prefer the Ridler 1 :)) seems easier, but that's much more expensive than the cat tarot deck for example, lol...
I wish I had known as a tarot reader... that my readings does not have to match another tarot readers readings and be wrong if my readings are different from another tower readers who is reading the same cards in the same positions with the same question my card reading is not wrong I always believe that my readings were wrong because they did not say the same as another reader’s reading.which hindered me from moving forward in my Tarot journey And it made me always go back to the beginning and learn all over again because of it.
#5 resonated... I stopped reading for many years as my mother used to force me to pull cards for her when I was a kid. your videos and others are really helping me find peace with it again
Please keep up what you're doing!!! Will be purchasing The Simple Tarot Deck Starter Kit: Beginner Tarot Cards and Guidebook as soon as I've got funds, I wish I had this kit in the beginning of my Tarot journey ages ago. Blessings
You're such a wonderful teacher! Keeping it simple, yet so thorough. I purchased your starter kit which is AWESOME. Learning with more confidence each day. Thank you Angie!
This is so awesome! I got my first cards 4 years ago & struggled. I thought I was hopeless. I switched to oracle cards, because I felt so overwhelmed trying to memorize the cards. Thank you so much! ✌🙏🌻
Thank you! I'm new to tarot. I already practice tasseography and I was hoping learning tarot would help in my readings, a way to gain a new perspective and meaning of additional symbols.
I truly, truly enjoy your videos Angie! 💜 This one was so self assuring for me. I have sooo many books, notes, and memorizing, I have frustrated myself. I don't know how many times I was ready to give up because I felt I just wasn't getting it or doing it wrong. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel so much better after this video. SO happy I've found your channel.
Hi, new subscriber here.. thank you for sharing your gifts and knowledge about tarot reading. I am really interested about it. Please pray for me, I want to learn tarot reading too. But I just have no idea how to begin. And I have no gift of intuition. I like to avail of your services regarding tarot reading tutorials.❤️🙏
I did not know that each tarot deck is different....and you are right, I started with a Golden Girls Tarot deck bc it resonated but the old traditional one I still struggle with.
How do you store your decks? I've been told you have to wrap them in silk, tie with a red string and keep inside a cedar box. Is that necessary? And what do you do?
There's no right or wrong way to store them. I just put them back in the box (still out of order) and put the box on a shelf. If you find comfort or meaning in doing additional rituals, they can be fun, but they're not necessary.
Thank you so much. I am from India and your videos are so helpful..they have been really helpful in clearing confusions... Ma'am do we have to keep our tarot cards in proper order after every reading??? How do we keep cards???
65 and still learning more about the cards and myself. got my first deck at 16.
❤❤❤
