If everything was the same the bulls win. Everyone keeps saying bulls wouldn’t have an answer for twin towers but the bulls beat them both times in 98. One of those times without Scottie. With a shortened season it wouldn’t even be close. 4-1 or 4-2.
my bad lol 😂 I meant Randy Brown but you are right! BJ was a more memorable player and probably why I said his name thinking of the back point guard battle. nice catch! …. But what we really want to know is who wins 🏆 ?
@@Cloud9Radio ok that makes a lot more sense. I was about to say...you can't not know that! To answer your question, I still think the Bulls pull it out. They would have had a lot more time to recover from the previous season with the lockout and probably wouldn't have tried to push thru the short and condensed season in order to get to the playoffs ready to make a run at it. Plus I'm not betting against MJ in the 90's.

If Bulls can shut down the Guards, and delay the Spurs offensive plays,.. they can't get the ball to the big men in the low post. Spurs will have a hard time then, with the bulls having the defensive advantage.

Say less!!! That would've been a great NBA FINALS, even as a die hard Spurs fan, I'd have to tip my hat to a draw, I can't decide really!!! Jordan/Pippen vs Duncan/Robinson....my God that would've went down to the wire!!! Spurs4Life 😎💯❣️
Tbh the 99 Spurs would embarrass the Bulls.. Spurs frontcourt Duncan and Robinson would wreck Luc Longley and Rodman lol, Bulls main weakness was always against a dominant frontcourt.. plus they were too old
The first question you need to ask yourself, can your little point guard bring the ball pass half court?😂 Your big men would be standing beside the paint screaming for the ball that would never reach their hands🤣
@@luisvergara6502 Did those players had another HOF big with them? Guess not.. Duncan had a still solid David Robinson.. Longley is trash and Rodman in 99 is over.. would be in foul travel.. twin towers would dominate the paint
@@NotAnAstronaut2k that little boy can't get pass Ron even he got 2 broken legs I said it already, those 2 towers could only stand there waiting for the ball that will never come, don't forget David Robinson was just as old, only TD was the young boy out there. Size doesn't matter when you saw Rodman shutting down Shaq.
Tim Duncan and David Robinson would be too much while Michael Jordan would get his moments in the end though it's a classic seven game series that the spurs win
smh…. m.th-cam.com/video/W_5CXa-3SvM/w-d-xo.html there is the game lol 7:33 point is where the starting lineup is announced but yeah I talk about Rodman who would start the 2nd half at times in the finals. you probably thinking regular season and Rodman was a beast!
Would have been an interesting series. A strike shortened season favors the long in tooth Bulls. Those same Spurs got smoked in the regular season 98, with 1 game Pip missed. Timmy and The Admiral wouldn't get a chance to see the ball with that crap backcourt. Those Bulls would pressure full court. Now regular season and playoffs are different. That 99 Spurs team lost to the 98 Utah team. And beat the 99 Utah team. Could Timmy or David have transcendent games? Not likely. If you thing Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell would give you nightmares, imagine MJ and Scottie who were superior players on both ends. Avery was garbage, Antonio Daniels was overrated. Mario Elie was the best backcourt player and he's going to have a bad series. Dennis doesn't need to stop anyone. He didn't stop Shaq. He frustrated him. Grab offensive rebounds and play defense. The x-factor is Kukoc who would never defend post players but was different because he was a 6-11 perimeter player. Who's stopping him? He did average 19ppg by himself in 99. The team was trash but he was still good. The Spurs were lucky Ewing was injured. Patrick wasn't stopping much then but who was stopping him? We talk about age, the only young player on either team was Timmy. Spurs get cooked. Tim gets his, MJ doubles him up, Kukoc kills them from the perimeter , MJ retires and doesn't come back to play for Wizards.

Sorry Ron harper would eat Avery Johnson for lunch..
Antonio Daniels would have taken Randy Brown's lunch money and would have made Ron Harper stutter again.
lol! You both might be right what a series that could have been!
BJ Armstrong? That man wasn't on the Bulls in 1998 or 99. Come on now

Sean Elliott was the SF and Ellie was the SG.
I think Bulls vs Rockets in 94 & 95 would have been great too.

The Spurs were not beating Chicago in 99. They weren't.
But what a series it would have been!
Oh yes they would

chicago bulls will win 4-1 or 4-2
Duncan and Robinson would be formidable against Jordan Pippen flying in for dunks. Robinson in particular has shown he can block MJ dunks.
Kerr would not leave the 1998 Bulls, if they lasted until 1999.
