Alfred’s apology to Bruce’s parents is such a heart breaking moment. A few reactors out there seemed to have missed that it was directed toward Thomas and Martha.

Fooking hell! I have been watching this ending clips for thousands times, I swear! And I was only today’s year old found out Alfred’s apology was to Bruce Wayne’s parents! HOW DID I MISS INTERPRETED THIS DETAIL THIS WHOLE TIME?!🥲
Batman doesn't usually get to retire and have a happy ending, but that last scene where Bruce gives Alfred the goodbye he always wanted and you see Selina is with him and she's actually wearing Bruce's mom's pearl necklace speaks volumes about how they both left that life behind for good.
And Bruce doesn't have to worry because he knows it's in good hands with "Robin" and Gordon still

I've seen this film a dozen times but I only just realized that when Alfred says, "I failed you", he's talking to Bruce's parents not Bruce himself. He even takes a deliberate step to the right to face their graves. Great reaction! I think I have new favorite reactors.

That ending with Robin discovering the batcave was beyond perfection...
Small note. Christopher Nolan originally wanted all previous villains to be in here including The Joker. He even had his part all written out even. But.. Obviously with Heath Ledger's death, the script was slightly altered and he was.. Written out, purely out of respect
Yep and that's why in the novelization for DRK it's pointed out that Joker was one of the only villains Bane didn't break out if I remember correct.

I had always assumed the joker would've factored in to the 3rd film had Heath not passed away. Any idea what his role wouldve been? I imagine it wouldn't be a major role, but certainly still wouldve been amazing to see him again.

If you remember at the end of Batman Begins, Rachel told Bruce that his Bruce Wayne persona is his mask and Batman is his true self, so technically Bruce was wearing a mask during the party

The signs man. At the end they all got the signals. Robin with the coordinates, Lucious with the software patch, Gordon with the repaired light, and finally Alfred got to see him in person ofc. Such a masterpiece of an ending.

I was SOOO excited to see you guys had not seen the Dark Knight trilogy and were reacting to it. You guys are fucking hilarious and immersive reactors, and this trilogy is one of my favorite trilogies ever.
This movie gets a lot of hate, or maybe I shouldn't say 'a lot' since the overall consensus is it's generally good, but people say that it doesn't compare to the other movies in this Nolan franchise.
It's personally my favorite in the trilogy. Bane is fucking awesome. Hilarious and epic one liners from him make him my favorite Batman villain, even more than Ledger's joker (although Ledger's performance is legendary and second to none.) The ending on top of it all is simply an amazing way to draw the trilogy to a close. Emotional and poetic. Legendary. Great reaction you two!

I'm sure you guys noticed while editing, but he did actually end up with Selina aka Catwoman in the end. With her wearing the pearls and them both using the clean slate.

I think this movie is highly underrated imo. Mainly because Dark Knight is so awesome. But this is still a great film in its own right. Tom Hardy is still a great Bane and villain even if not as good as Joker. And everyone still great in this. Loved the ending and conclusion too
Hoping you watch the Robert Pettinson/Reeves Batman!! It's amazing. Pattinson is probably up there as one of my favorite portrayals now along with Bale and the animated Batman. :)

Alfred is not apologizing to Bruce Wayne, but to his parents, for having failed to protect their boy. Notice that he before he speaks, he takes a little step to the right, so as to stand in front of the tombstones of Thomas and Martha Wayne...
My older sister and I saw this together in the theatre. We’ve always been kind of a “don’t cry, don’t let em know you’re hurting” kind of family. I remember when I saw Alfred crying at Bruce’s funeral I just broke, and looked over to my sister. She looks back to me in full tears. At that point, seeing one another bawling, we knew we were in good company, and we just cried our eyes out for like a minute until finding out the truth. Since then, this movie has been a core memory for us, this movie is awesome

Bruce Wayne was wearing a 'mask' like everyone else because he sees Batman as his true identity and Bruce Wayne as his alter ego. 😎
Definitely one of the best trilogies ever made. Mr. Bale doesn't really look like the classic Bruce Wayne from the comics but he definitely acted the part and that made all the difference.

Alfred at the end scene just recks me 😢I probably saw this in theaters 4 times I think at least. I just loved it.
This cast was stacked with great actors. Morgan Freeman, Michael Cain, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Christian Bale. That's just the main cast. Even the extras were well known actors.
May be one of the most underrated movies of the last 10 years. Audiences just wanted more Heath Ledger and were biased against it when they didn't get it.
This might be the best ending reaction to Dark Knight Rises I've seen on TH-cam.
In the theater when I watched this, I jumped out of my seat and showed "NOOO!" as the nuke went off, in complete disbelief that they just killed my childhood....and then cheered very loudly when it was revealed that he's alive and living it up with Selena...as an avid Batcat fan...YEEESSSS!
Whenever I want to cry I could just watch the ending of this movie. I don't get why this movie had such a divisive audience. It goes through a rollercoaster of emotions.
The problem was this came right after The Dark Knight & The Inception & people expected this to top that,
But at best The Dark Knight Rises is a 8/10 movie. Both TDK & Inception are 9/10 & 10/10 respectively.
That's all, most of them dissing this r idiots & r brainwashed by the internet, also the whole "bane is not as good as joker" who F'in cares.
I loved him as a villain & i thought he was different from joker & he overtakes batman physically & they did something different to keep it fresh, which they did.
But I didn't like his death, I would've loved to see & batman fight in the bat at top & keeping his death mysterious or him dying in the nuclear blast.

You guys cried almost as much as I did when I saw it in the theater. My favorite Batman actors are Christian Bale, Michael Keaton and I think I’m one of the few people that liked Ben Affleck playing a more mature Batman

Such a great trilogy, and Nolan has so much symbolism and parallel shots dropped in. The view out of Bane's prison as Bruce looks up is reminiscent of the view out of the well he fell into a child beside Wayne Manor - "And why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up". The last film brings the trilogy full circle as he literally climbs out of the pit of despair just as he was taught to by his father.
Fun Fact :) He wasn't wearing a mask at the ball because Bruce Wayne is his Mask :) Symbolic addition to the movie

First Ben affleck batman is different universe / he's has different story...
Importantly , he's Year 20 Batman that means it been 20 years he's fighting as Batman and he has gone through alot ... And Joker has killed his first son /1st Robin... That's made him lost faith in humanity and became the cruel animal we saw in Batman vs superman movie.
But... When superman died, he restored his faith in humanity and became the best version himself... "redemption" we can see in Justice league snyder cut and he is gathered the superheroes and created "Justice League" because he made that promise on superman 's grave that he make every thing right!!!

The dark knight rises is one of the most underrated movie in superhero movie's history only because it had to compete with the dark knight which was just phenomenal.
The scene where Foley died was actually cut from the film because when Nolan filmed it and watched it back he actually gone white in the face from seeing it so he decided to cut it and only show the part where he's on the ground
most people seem to hate catwoman for betraying batman. what they dont seem to understand is that her look when bane breaks bruce, is one of disbelief. she thought batman would win, and rid her of her problem. up to this point, batman is unbeaten. hes a legend in gothams underworld. no one would think he could be defeated like that.

John "Robin" Blake became the new Batman at the end because Bruce left him everything to be Gotham's new protector once he started a new life with Selina Kyle; plus Blake had great "Detective" skills like Batman. So when the platform came up out of the water at the end, that's where "The Dark Knight Rises" theme comes from. 😊🦇
