I wish wish wish SS would let us easily upgrade from 7 to 7.1. I have sites with hundreds of pages/posts and it would be a monumental task to migrate these sites so I just haven’t. Love your videos - thank you for sharing such outstanding tips/content.

I like SquareSpace but found it very restrictive in editing. This is just great ! Ive been fiddling about with my site finding new things to adjust. I didnt realise you could edit mobile separately so now it looks like I've got more work. Lol 🙂

Wonderful...I've been anxiously waiting for the training covering the Fluid Engine in SQSP and how to best work with it. There isn't much out there so far. I can't wait to learn more. I do teach a class that evening and may bow out a bit early but I'll participate as much as I can.

I find it easier to drag and drop in place in the +Block menu. Otherwise it sits in the upper left corner and feels messy. Dragging it from that menu into relative place is a cleaner work flow for me. 🥰
That's a great question - and I honestly have no idea! I have one page on my site built entirely with Fluid, but haven't upgraded a site with data to compare. I'm sure there are folks in the Sqsp community running tests right now - I'd keep an eye on the forum if I were you 😉

The fluid editor is not great. I switched from Wix to Squarespace years ago because the classic editor was better than being able to move things anywhere. If anyone else wants the classic editor back, you have to add a section and scroll to the bottom to select classic editor blocks. Hope this helps someone else who is VERY frustrated with this new fluid engine.

That’s pretty strange - if your site isn’t working the way it’s supposed to, you should definitely contact the Squarespace support team: support.squarespace.com/
Great question! A few content blocks have different selectors, like image blocks, and I've got some workarounds that I'll cover in the workshop. And yes - you totally can! You can overlap anything inside a section, and use custom CSS to overlap blocks like images with the section above. This tutorial has some more info on that: th-cam.com/video/fzFRJfU7CdE/w-d-xo.html
Great video! I was wondering on the video at 3:15 when you add a block you have the option to add a Gallery, however I don't have this option I can only add an image... Do you by any chance know why? Any help would be much appreciated :)

What about wrapping text around an image? I haven't figured this out how to do this with fluid engine yet ...
