Nice ride PJoe. I stayed at hotel Aster just off Pattaya Klang in May 2023 that I found from one of your earlier Vlogs, Hotel was great. I enjoy these back street rides.

Nothing like that in the early 80's ! I worked in Saudi and I lived at Hassanee Villa (?) in between 83-84 . Long walk from Pattaya Tai at night in the dark, lots of snakes around but good cheap fun!

Interesting and well-presented, as always. Soi Arunothai used to be quite lively going back in time, the liveliest place being the Boomerang Bar which formed part of the Shagwell Mansions complex. When the Boomerang Bar closed in July 2012, the area seemed to lose its character and become completely devoid of atmosphere. Many of the bar girls shared accommodation in the Nirun Condominium, which with over 2000 apartments is, I believe, the largest condo complex in Pattaya.

I had a quiet weekend. Because tonights firework show and tomorrow's Independence Day parade/party is going to be lit (my favorite holiday). Sun, food and beer/liquor. My favorite bar sign: liquor up front, poker in the rear. 😳😂

That street with the demolished bars, around the five minute mark, must have been a really old bar area. Looking on google street view, you can see the bars structures there in the 2012 pictures, but even then, you can tell that had been abandoned for good few years.

Joe, on your travels could you have a look down Soi Baku (next to Amethyst Hotel) off soi 15, there is an apartment building at the end named, Up to you apartments, I stayed there recently for a couple of months and it was all ok except for the building works going on next to it which drove me mad, I'm coming back September for 6/8 months and would like to know if it's ok to book there again, thanks mate that's a ber or 3 I owe you.

i just checked up to you hotel and they are still building next door. 3 floors up shell complete.. Looks about 2-3 months of work yet before finished. Hope this helps. Cheers

Pretty sure no ladyboys in those clubs in soi bongkoch but you never know!!
Nirun isn't the worst condo in Pattaya but the worst condo in the world!.... I was playing in the Boomerang bar with the band for 4 years...never seen a venue so badly managed anywhere at any time in my 50 years around the world.
Pls speak clearly to audience from o/seas. TOO many euphemisms/ expressions that are meaningless. Please list your communication standards. 😢🙏
