    It’s a beer cooler with an engine. Prices are nuts.

    I would love a new boat but I can't see myself fishing late unto the winter or early in the spring in a CC. I like the Gradys with the small cabin, prejudiced by prior ownership, but new they cost more than my house.

    I want the Cobia 240CC alas 119k used with dual screens, trailer and terrova.😢

    Honestly, all of these models are really nice, the skiff is designed for a different purpose, so while it's in the same length category, that's kind of where the comparisons end, and that's reflected in the price, but each, in its own right, are very nice examples...

    I like the sportsman. Two live wells for the Florida fishing.

    I know boat prices are high, but my local dealer has that sea fox 268 on their lot for less than $150k only thing different from that show model I could see was 8" Garmin vs the 10" and zuk 150s vs the Yamaha

    Great as always John. Were any of the smaller and/or local manufacturers at the show? I would really like to see walk throughs for more hardcore fishing machines like whitewater, bluewater, competition, stuart boatworks, ocean runner, contender, onslow bay, etc. I also heard that pair customs may be coming out with a 27' cc.

      So interestingly the Stuart show has more of those. Definitely something to focus on next year.

    The SeaFox definitely has the best ride

    looking for a 30ft pilot house with rear gunnels waist high, with a bad back you can get in the corners and brace yourself. like the layout of the steiger 31 miami but gunnels are to low. any ideas?

      Unfortunately, no, unless you go custom build

    The Sea Fox 268 is really nice. Just ordered one and should be arriving sometime early June. I paid 125K for mine.

      @@jiggingjerks Ordered mine with the twin Yamaha 150s. Also ordered it with dual Garmin 8610s and the Garmin Fantom 24 radar.

    Hey John I have a question for you . I am upgrading to a 28 foot Parker pilot house that has the 87 inch ulterra terrova minn kota right in the anchor pulpit. Don’t know it’s thrust I assume the big one. Boat weighs 6400 lbs like I believe yours does. Do you have trouble spot locking in current or any other conditions? Much appreciate any info.

    • @jiggingjerks
      @jiggingjerks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hold really well with it. If the current is really ripping 3 or so mph, it will struggle

    Cobia looks really nice of the ones you showed I think it's the best. A little under powered though.

    Cobia hands down. I believe Cobia is a good amount heavier than other boats + better fit and finish? Probably best all around “mid-tier” boat you can get in my eyes. Prices have gotten insane. I’m not sure who the hell can afford these prices.

    Own a 18cc seafox 2005 since new. Looks almost new but man, they did a lot of things wrong back then. It still floats and fishes well but bilge access is a nightmare, wiring was atrocious, hardware quesionable. Replaced almost all of that. and weather has to cooperate. Somedays I am exhausted because it cuts through the water like a block of cheese. Lol. She's an old gray mare now but still does her job. Someday, cobia, someday

    • @jiggingjerks
      @jiggingjerks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I fished for years on a late 90s Sea-Era, the precursor to Sea Fox and couldn’t agree more on the wiring…..it was a mess….
