Definitely power/speed metal, but done very well in exchange for the lack of diversity. And she's a legit classical pianist who opens "Swan Song" with one of Chopin's Etudes. There's nothing mindless about this band.

They did change bassist almost 2 years ago when founding member Miho decided to leave, but she was replaced a young prodigy, Fami, who fit in seamlessly. This guitarist, Miyako, writes a lot of their music and has a classical background which shows in her songwriting (she started learning classical piano at age 3 and didn't start playing guitar until she was 18. She can also play drums and slap bass). The band has 4 studio albums of original music and imo there's not one mediocre song in their catalogue. Well worth checking out; I'd recommend listening to this whole hour plus "Live From Abyss" studio session that was filmed during COVID to get an intimate introduction to the band th-cam.com/video/TPPpS_HpRUc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QhMIZkypRQHVLkqO ("Scream For Me" has killer guitar solos and ends with a 90 second shredfest) or start checking out their live videos on the official Lovebites channel (there are also tons of non official live videos worth checking out). I love Ibanez! That's the guitars I've played most of my life, even owned a JEM at one point, which was the best guitar I ever owned. Also loved those late 80s early 90s RGs that Rocky George, Alex Skolnick and Dave Navarro played. Then of course there was Vai and Satch. Great guitars, you can play anything with them.
That tremelo trill in her solo was clutch. Not easy to hear but to pull that off at that ridiculous speed, really nice touch and technically really friggin' hard!
