Geee we use lots and lots of rockwell motor stuff and their own service techs seem to be clueless about this subject? no wonder we have a lot of motor/drive failures...? great video thanks

We have a system with Kinetix 5700 drives and 4 servo motors. We've had 7 motors fail with shorted windings in the last year. We are going to connect an Oscope to try and determine the problem. We're using 40 meter 20290 cables.

Hello my friend! Have you determined if this
phenomenon is the cause of your 7 motor fails?

@@e-maqcomponenteseletricos These were Elwood SX motors. We did find a lot of reflected wave at the motors so we put a line reactor at the drive output on the most troublesome motor. Eventually the customer put line reactors on the other 3 and shortened the cables by 3-4 meters. Honestly I the Elwood had a bad batch of winding wire.
