Hey JT , big thanks for the shout out 👍👍👍 if I was more local 😂😂 I’d have a busman’s holiday n come n kick ass with u and a few 🍺🍺 obviously 😂 nice little 35 there ! Good project , will be keen to see progress ! All the best Massey Dave 👍👍 and thanks to any of you subscribers who can follow me and see the stuff we do here the other side of the pond 👍👍👍👍👍
I noticed the Ford fenders? I spent a lot of my childhood on a Massey FERGUSON 35. We did a lot of work with that tractor that should’ve been done but we made do! Love all Massey’s. Thano
We had a 35 special with a Continental engine with a homemade front end loader our dad made and we used that thing for everything..... It was a great ole tractor for us kids to learn on!!!!
You cease to amaze me JT. Since I have never seen or heard a dog shittin in a bucket. I can sure as hell take your word for it. Great new addition to your ever growing collection.
You have ceased to amaze me. I like that you bartered for the loader tractor, although I’m disappointed you let go of the 2010. But I’m a JD man. But a great video hornets and all.
Having an 8-N, an NAA, or Ferguson around for little jobs is a good idea. This one runs and doesn't knock. You're well on your way. Replace that generator with a one wire alternator while you're throwing money at it.
Wow JT brought back some happy memories of the old Grey Ferguson we had on the farm. It ran on petrol and paraffin or TVO as it was called ( Tractor vaporising Oil). You used to start it on petrol, then when engine was warm turn tap over to the tvo tank but leave it running all day as tvo was cheap. Hope you work the JT magic on this old girl.🇺🇸🇬🇧👍
When you introduced that forklift to the channel i thought to myself youd hardly use that thing. Wow was i ever wrong woth that. That old forklift has to be one of the most valuable tools you have on your operation.
I've been thinking about this one for a few days ... I think you are right. Put that loader onto a huskier tractor. Clean this one up and send it down the road to a happy collector.
Cool find its worth fixing. If that tractor was factory yellow its probably pretty rare and i would paint it back yellow otherwise it would just be solid gray.
JT, it would be cool to see you do the Ferguson TO-35 in MF red, that would be so cool. Maybe the loader off the TO-35 might work on the MF-165, but I thinking maybe not. You might be better looking for a loader that would fit the 165 and finish the TO-35. It would also be cool to see you paint the "Mr. Lifter"!! LOL!!
Those old TOs and 8Ns are sweet little tractor. I am sure even if you do not keep the loader on it, there will be a use for it. Looking forward to this project.
Fine old machine. I have a Model 50 (Perkins Diesel) with MF 100 loader. It also has a front pump. The hi-low range speeds are superb IMHO. Good luck…👍
It’s not a bad little tractor, not the greatest loader tractor in my opinion, due to no power steering, short wheelbase and light in the rear, but it’s yours and you can do whatever you want. I do like your idea about a loader on your little Massey, you already have and know. The design of the old loader is less than ideal and not the most streamlined. Be interesting to see what you find inside the little Massey, I think the hunt for a decent loader tractor continues. Thanks for the Videos, JT. I’m down by Ann Arbor and it was hot in the neighborhood this week. Hopefully the crops are enjoying the weather and occasional rain. Have a Good Weekend.
Nice to see that green thing go, you'll love that to35 once you get her sorted out. I've got 2 to30's that definitely earn their keep along side my 165...
Hey JT Nice deal for the M-F 35. I've had my 1959 M-F 50 for 27 years now wouldn't get rid of it for anything; I had to put a shifter fork in mine as well I couldn't get a new one so I had to get a used one. Since I was going to that I went ahead put in new piston rings valve stem seals, & did a valve job on it; Along with a Pertronix electronic ignition in not to mention new tires. seat cushion, & rewired the whole baby along with putting in a rear remote hydraulic switch in. Of course the later Items came after awhile; Oh and a vertical exhaust on as well. If You end up keeping M-F 35 the one thing you'll like about a gasser is how easy they start up during the winter, & those Z134 Continental engines are very reliable. Mine has the M-H-F stamp marks on it as well, & I believe they had them till the early 60's. I did notice your 35 has wheel weights for the loader so it looks like it came with the loader when it was new. Again nice job getting home , & running. GET THAT MAN A BEER🍺🍻!
JT if it helps you in the future. We cut holes in the end of the forks that way you could use a couple Clevis to hook the chain to. Or if you hook the chain like you had in the video you can put pins in the holes so the chain couldn’t slide off. Plus we would use a 3pt lower pin to bolt to the fork to move tractors around by going under the drawbar up through the hole and pick up on the tractor and move them around. Just some ideas that always made my life easier when I had to move around dead equipment. Love your channel and keep up the great work.
I own an old TO35 great little tractors, Hope it has power steering with that loader attached, Heads up: I would check the condition of that front axle pivot bushing while you have tractor apart, a lot of pressure on that axle pivot bushing
Excellent video JT :) Ferguson Tea 30 also fix up that tractor it nice small one with loader and you can fix up too! Also nice find too and nice hear Dave across pond has some you want on tractors! Yes Fork lift helps too agree to that JT 👍 👏 👌 😄!
Good Morning J T, Well ya know, that 2010 was a lot better than the TO 35 in my opinion. I once had a TO30 HARRY FERGUSON, it was a great little tractor, but not very big, and not much lifting power, but it never totally let me down. HA😅 , FLUFFY is looking well, she is probably glad that it is finally SUMMER. 😊
I love what you're doing with all these machines. Fixing the new one would be great, maybe putting the loader on the bigger tractor would be a safer unit to use especially if it's that oversized. BUT. I think that amazing forklift is due for some lipstick, even in the commercial yellow, it's factory. That I'd love to see! It's proved its worth and you've said that a few times.... just my thoughts...
I used to own a grey Fergie. '47 or '48 it was. first owner had it repowered with a 3 cylinder diesel conversion in '53 and painted up like a 53 model so it was red and grey. Didn't do much to it as I had too many projects and not enough time and space so I swapped it against much needed Land Rover parts ! Cheers, Ard
JT you might check the front axle pivot pin and bushing. I know on the little Fords it tends to be forgotten there is a grease zerk so the pin wears out the bushing. I was called upon to weld the pivot pin bore because it had gotten egg shaped. I used 7014 and some torch heat. Machinist bored it out to original spec and pressed in new bushing. AL B.
The 35x was first tractor I ended up operating and even though it's small it's good next one I had to operate was a Fordsen major and I had to refurbish the brakes on it because they were worn-out had a loader on it but it was enormous to compare with the 35x but made big difference when you have breakes
we has a NNA Jubilee my grandfather bought new still in active use into the 80s ... these little tractors can still do an honest days work if they are mechanically sound
Nice little project you got there 🙂 I have a 1954 TE-20 (diesel) waiting for a complete fixup. Starts up a little unwilling, but they are known for that. Leaks here and there, and rear tires are like on your TO-35: cracked up and totally worn out 🙂 Hope you end up fixing it. I would love to follow the process.
I'll watch anything you put out as long as it has some mechanical stuff involved. You remind me so much of me back when I was your age. A great sense of humor mixed in with just enough "smart ass". Keep the great content coming. And thanks for not making us listen to some off-beat crappy music.
I think you have lost loader capacities with selling the JD. Maybe rebuild and sell this ferguson to buy a correct loader for the 165, you will retrieve the same workhorse but in red ;)
@@jtsbarnngrill6873would love to have you be a member of FENA Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America. Might be like a cars ignition. Resister to coil when running. But starter solenoid has a S terminal for full battery voltage by passing the resister when cranking engine. Points can’t handle 14.3 volts steady when running.
I think the loader would be better on the 165, but I would still fix up the 35 as you may be able to sell it, or stick a bin on the back for shifting stuff. I actually leaned to drive at 7 years old on a 35x. ..
Hi JT. Liking all the Massey stuff, Im in Australia and we have lots of Massey 135, 148, 165, 168, 175, 178 etc. So i would be great if you could stuff on them. Keep up the good work
Hi thanks for another interesting video, now we know why the starter sounded like it fell in the bucket after the dog finished L.O.L. I think You used to watch a TV show a lot of years back, Sanford and Son LOL I think your yard is building up to what that show was about !!! LOL. Just kidding OK I enjoy watching you get the old stuff up and running.
Nice one j.t. I watch dave . He helped out another TH-cam I watch. By looks off things you got another one. Don't think it's got right fuel tank should have 2 places to fill . Don't think loader will fit your 165. Shame you weren't closer iv got a 165 loader and a 135 cab doing nothing. You might want to go back to that scrapyard to see about that massey he had. But great video as normal all ways great to watch .from Andy in uk
@jtsbarnngrill6873 I believe it should be same as hours over here. Its one tank but one is small for petrol to start it. Then bigger side should bo to take the t.v.o fuel. I forgot got to say in your combin video did you beef up the pump bracket.
The man will send a John Deere tractor down the road quicker than a step-child off to summer camp!😂

Love the TO 35 - I have a green and grey one- grew up operating one, find memories
Got to love the Ford fenders on a Massy Ferguson.

Nice! That would be a good job for it!
That little tractor will be as handy as a pocket on a shirt. Looking forward to the repair video. Thx

I wonder how many people know, just how much they owe Harry Ferguson; even the JD guys. What a great find, JT!
That is very true!
Btw, I think the 165 would be perfect recipient of the bucket. Then Fergie could be show-only.
Be kind to women too! 👍👍👍 Cool tractor JT! Can´t wait to see that ol girl running again! 🤠👍

I am thinking I’ll do that
12:25 i jumped! it'll buff out..... I hope the eye hook welds aren't indicative of the other loader welds!
31:58 I think you can hear grinding on the video when the engine starts earlier...

Don't think loader will fit your 165. Shame you weren't closer iv got a 165 loader and a 135 cab doing nothing. You might want to go back to that scrapyard to see about that massey he had. But great video as normal all ways great to watch .from Andy in uk
I didnt think of that, I’ll have to check with Wayne on that!
@jtsbarnngrill6873 I believe it should be same as hours over here. Its one tank but one is small for petrol to start it. Then bigger side should bo to take the t.v.o fuel. I forgot got to say in your combin video did you beef up the pump bracket.
