Bro, what about income tax. Whether the entire income i taxable or allowances are available. For such high salaries, 30% will go as income tax plus surcharge.
Sailors working in foreign ships and staying out of India for more than 6 months will become NRI and are exempted from paying tax in India.
But those who are sailing in Indian companies/Indian coastal waters are required to pay taxes.
No... U hv to complete 183 dats outside india in a year then only u get tax exemption otherwise u hv to pay tax even if it s one day short..
Iam also a sailor only working as a third engineer... Iam talking about foreign going vessels only..
