Ok so the software does the hard work and suggests the upper chords to add various depths of tension and harmony depending upon the software settings which the User can select. My question is “ How do you get the starting song onto the screen- ie the unmodified chords. Does the software Scan it in, or do you Play it in, or do you need to type/notate it into the software? Could I use a simple Lead Sheet/ page from a Busker Book as my starting point?
There are different options to add progressions into the app, you can enter them using the map, you can import them from iReal or enter the chords as text, and the app analyzes the progression and turns it into a progression with analysis automatically, or you also have 1300+ jazz standards that you can get for the app fully analyzed by hand (available from within the app)
