Not hard to see why you would prefer the D2 for hunting in iron. That's an impressive difference. I've really been liking the M9, but still surprised to see how it did here against the M8! The M9 is looking better all the time. Going to try and get out after some nuggets in a couple of weeks and plan to give the M9 a good try out there.
D2 is what I prefer in iron. Even though the ID isn't at all accurate, you can really tell when you've got something non-ferrous under the coil in the heavy iron. I'm hopefully going to get out to hunt some nuggets in the next few weeks myself. It's been a real busy Summer and it's looking like I'll finally have some extra time.
Wow. D2 smacked the crap out of it. I’ve got a video up of triple score and D2 on masked targets in the field, live digs, cw bullets. Triple score is no slouch I think you’ll find.
@@deltafreshrelics1660 I could probably drop the ferrous limits on the Manticore and get it to hit those targets better. But it really starts falses off those nails when you go too low.
I think Manticore hit it too it just not so obvious like D2.. I watched many times back and fourth.. You honed it at the wrong spot.. It seems like the sound of 'dirty' nonferrous on Manticore (it has the same ID too) at the end of the sweep on your right was where the coin at. The same spot as D2 hit it (my reference is the > shape dry grass.. just a bit below it }.. maybe Im wrong. thank you for the video sir
great work the d2 a lot better in iron, ive got the manticore for water use its deep but anything more than 7or 8 inches it will give a mixed signal on good targets so i dig lots of iron.
Every time I watch a video with the discriminator settings on digital metal detectors, they scare me. Digital can be better with settings on the display and display of metal conductivity. But with any discriminator settings, it squeaks like a pig. Why??? What is the discriminator for on digital metal detectors if it does not work like on analog metal detectors, which can completely ignore iron and at the same time even 1 gram of gold among a pile of iron see deeply??? They really scare me with useless sounds. Tesoro Lobo Supertraq was really cool! You turn the discriminator knob a little to the right on the discrimination scale and the detector is silent and does not give any sounds for iron at all. It seems to me that digital technology is worse than what was in the analog in Tesoro Lobo Supertruck. It was the best metal detector that I have ever held in my hands with brilliant sensitivity to valuable metals and a mega cool discriminator. Maybe you are setting up the discriminator incorrectly? But if everything is correct, it is sad to see such a result, when the metal detector still makes a sound every time it sees ordinary iron.

Great tests, the D2 flat out love bad ground conditions.
Thanks for vid.

I agree Manticore hit the target to some extent. But would you dig it? I doubt I would.

А где апех?

Deus 2 is a silver slayer. Manticore slays gold. Waiting on the D2 5x9 HF coil. It will be interesting to see how it does in the iron unmasking.
Ive found both silver and gold with the deus 2
