This game needs a fix. If they add a save feature and remove the crash bug , I'd buy it again , only because its a unique game employing current or future platforms and systems. I play on slow speed usually because I'm doing do much, setting routed for tankers, planning my strike, etc...fun game, lots of untapped potential. Imagine if the dev team had some money...
I gave up because you said every point about 9 times. This video would probably be about 5 minutes long if you just made a point once. Try writing flashcards for the points you want to make.
I love Harpoon-style games like this, and I found your review very entertaining. Your real-time analysis made me chuckle more than once. Now you've got me wondering how Dangerous Waters stacks up to these two, since that portion seems to been cut short...
Just played through the tutorials in Fleet Command and a couple of the single missions. I cant believe I didn't get this years ago great stuff. I play Dangerous Waters every now and then as well and I missed this jees!

To clarify some VLS boats carry all of their missiles in their tubes ready to fire, there is no magazine or storage of missiles, they are all ready to fire.
7:33 How is that Tupolev going only 200KPH?! Or is that a speed difference between your F-35 and that Tupolev. Tu-22 newer go that slow, especially since they are perfectly capable of going super-sonic and for longer periods. And to make matters worse, i think Tu-22 would stall like a bitch at only 200KPH.
There's a couple things I hated about Fleet Command. First of all, "cold cats": your aircraft carrier launches your valuable F-14 into the water instead of into the air, and it happens ridiculously often...ugh. Then, there's the fact that the AI either can ID and fire on you from great distances...or it just doesn't care about shooting at unidentified targets. Am I supposed to shoot at unidentified targets as well? Doesn't seem like that's how it works in real life, and the tutorial in this game doesn't seem to encourage it either. Lastly there seem to be some annoying bugs,.like one mission where I tell my planes to bomb a target and they ignore my command and decide to fly back to the carrier instead (and it's not because they're low on fuel).
NWAC keeps crashing on me. And for the record my Fleet Command has started freezing at the splash screen. My Perry in Dangerous Waters won't autofire its SAMs or 76mm gun to defend itself. CMANO AI is krap. So I'm still looking round for a decent modern naval game, sniffle.

I've beat most of the missions, by starting tupolevs from the nearby arifield, and spaming missiles, like there's no tomorrow. Enemy can shoot some, but if you just shit out every missile at once, there is no way to loose. It's ridiculously easy to cheese out EVERY mission. I found AI actually poorer then Dangerous Waters/Fleet Command series. I saw planes flying through mountains, and guided missiles launched with higher rate of fire then mini-gun... And of course the list goes on... it's some game dressed to look like Fleet Command, but it doesn't get close, with all the problems Fleet Command had at the time included.
thanks for the vid. i know now that i don't want to buy Arctic Circle ... i've had Fleet Command since it came out, and while it's good, it suffers from micromanagement fatigue .. Global Conflict Blue is decent, but lacking in database reference and other little details .... I guess the Harpoon series is STILL where it's at LOL :D
"Why can't Naval War have this? Why??" You have to remember how limited the resources behind NWAC were for the developers- think of it as more of an indie project than a professional game release. When the NWAC team didn't include certain animations or other features it wasn't because they forgot or were too lazy or couldn't- it's because they had to make a careful decision as to how they committed their time and money.

Yes there is- they're just there as a suppliment. They could have released this game without the 3D view and it would have been just as good. The graphics don't matter!

Arctic Circle is good fun to play but it does have its flaws THE WORST THING is when you are just beginning to get into the mission and you suddenly win because you sunk two tiny missile boats. Why do you suddenly win after sinking two ships? it ruins the game big time. It suddenly ends before you're finished playing. I also find it funny how the subs can fire 10 tomahawks at exactly the same time. Annoyingly sloppy. I hope they can learn from these mistakes for the next game!

If you can highlight a ship (or any asset) you can ctrl+e over a bunch of hostiles to engage - works great when being missile bombarded.

What version of Fleet Command is that? I noticed the ships have different loadouts...how did you make that happen?

NWAC was pretty poor compared to fleet command, felt very unpolished and very buggy when I last played it.

F-35 can hold up to 4 Aim-120 AMRAAM's in the large weapons bay and 1 in each side bay or Sidewinders.. The F-22 can hold 6 in its bottom weapons bay.

i prefer to play Harpoon. It is very old so there are no real graphics to speak of buut the tactical side of it cant be beaten!
The modern f-35 can carry 6 missiles and most of nato have the same problem with the f-35

Aegis is overrated in this game. It's way better in Sub Command and DW with RA mod. But i still have to try it.
