Yeah… I thought we were cool at the time… then I watched a bunch of videos from the 1980s with my younger girlfriend (I grew up 80s, she grew up 90s) in like 2010 and almost cried. Leg warmers are lame, mullets aren’t a good haircut, dayglow laces look like a cry for help, shutter shades look like a happy meal toy and I still love hairmetal, but man there was a lot spandex and makeup. X-/

My favourite are the people I've dubbed the "Rocky Balboa" types, you know them, they purposely dress down (although are probably rich) in a bid to not look like they're show ponies. These are the people that think they're the ones that came to the gym to do the real work, they're the serious body builders that are dressed the part and are there to just get the job done - they look at everyone else like they're vacationing in their life that is being a gym rat, believing that they're truly pushing the limits of the human condition, a god amongst mere men.
