    My catheter got stuck and the doctor went through several of them. It took so long that eventually I was asked to empty my bladder. It took about 45mins. I thought they were going to give up. I think my uterus is tilted and the full bladder meant the catheter couldn’t pass smoothly

    Curious given the full bladder thing... Does anyone ever pee on the table while you're doing the transfer? I feel like this is the prelim version of the fear you'll poop in labour.

    • @drlorashahine
      @drlorashahine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No! A full bladder is helpful for the transfer but not to the point of being uncomfortable or peeing on the table :)

    Dr Lora. I’ve been following you for awhile. I am in the process of IVF and my stims shots starting in 3 weeks. however i was just diagnosing with gastroparesis. Do you have any patients who’s going through the same thing before starting the process? What are your thought about GI issues will have any negative effects to the process as well. My GI doctor saying it shouldn’t and I’m still waiting for my ivf doctor to review everything. I appreciate any thoughts and suggestions from you because I really think you are incredibly informative ❤ thank you!!

      @@amandabrown5096hello, I stopped taking any meds before I started the process during my stims I tried not to think about it so my symptoms surprisingly almost gone so I’d say not stressing did a big part for me.
      My ivf turned out got 4 embryos with no PGT testing and transferred one of my 4AA. I got pregnant but at almost 5 weeks my hcg level went down and my doctor ruled it as chemical pregnancy 😢. My next transfer is in January.

    Is it normal to feel very tired 2 days after embryo transfer? Sometimes I have surges of energy but most of the day I want to be lazy. I do walk around and go outside and eat healthy though. I had my FET on Thursday.

    • @drlorashahine

      There are many reasons to feel tired - don’t underestimate the emotions and the mental roller coaster of getting to and completing the embryo transfer. Waiting for that pregnancy test is tough!! See my video on ’Surviving the Two Week Wait’ for tips and support! Best wishes!
