      Good observation, those sounds of each car are the reason I included this whole segment of the cars driving on the track. It is rare to get a chance to stand on a big-time racing course and video as cars drive by.

      Hell Yeah. I Believe the 1971 Was the Fastest Mustang out of all Mustangs Ever Produced, Rated at 330 H.P. which wasn't even close to actual Numbers. Would've been a Little Closer if Ford said 430 H.P. Those Cleveland Engines were Awesome, ran a Built Cleveland in my 1986 Foxbody, My Brother also ran a Cleveland in his 1985 Foxbody. They were Awesome High Winding Engines. I did make the Switch to a 460 Based Stroker, 521 Cubes Now, and i Absolutely Love it. Massive Torque, once you hit 2500 rpm, and I'm spinning it up to 7200 rpm. Through Out all the Engine Swaps in my 1986 Mustang, all the Money i spent on Different Headers and Motor Mounts. Its will be Staying BBF the Last Headers i bought were around $1500 i bought a Really Nice Set of Kooks Stainless Steel, 2 1/8" Primaries, 4" Collectors. I went from the Stock 302, 351W, 351C, and know the 460 Stroker. Went from 302 Shorties, Equal Lengths, Long Tubes, then Long Tubes for all the Other Engine Combos. Probably atleast 6 Different Sets. They Definitely add up.

    Had a 69 Boss 302 which was almost new and traded it in on a 73 Toyota Celica GT during gas shortage and growing family. Finally many years later purchased a 70 Crabber Orange Boss 302 in 88 and kept it until 2007 when moved to Oregon. Great cars and hold a special place in my heart!

    Some Nice Mustangs there for sure, '69 is my favourite. The one thing that never ceases to amaze me, usually it's here in Australia with owners of '71 XY GT Falcons, but looking at these it's the same over there. The Rear Spoiler is an Aerodynamic Device that was set with a bit of Downwards Rake at the front to allegedly create a bit of Downforce. When they Raced them they cranked it all the way down for maximum effect. Some of these are set high at the front to create Lift!! The White '69 @ 7:11 is a classic example. Get your spanner out and give it just 5 degrees and it will look correct.
    That's my Gripe! Why am I the only one who can see this?

    Another great Video Jerry. I see some off brand folks down there a yappin , one even from a car company that went out of business... Yeah...
    Trans AM ? yeah , howd that trans am thing go exactly with the mustang ? I think maybe the poor guy knows not of what he speaks...Especially in a boss thread.
    Good to see the old war horses show up. Let us never forget that the cars that made the mustang what it is werent so shiny or loved. They were also often sold for one dollar to an abusive home and never had a quiet day out in the pasture with someone petting it with a micro fiber cloth.
    Their days consisted more of some person trying to shove the long flat pedal through the firewall while at the same time trying to yank the shifter out of the transmission. The work horses that had to go out and get the mustang brand a reputation lived very hard lives and most of them didnt make it I am afraid. Always good to see some that did.

      I have one, a '70 Competition Blue Boss 302. Eliminators were mostly an appearance package, however they all had a 4 barrel engine as a base motor. Boss 302 was an option in the Eliminator only.

      Some Eliminator Cougars came with 428 CobraJet.
      Only 2 Cougars ever came with Boss 429. They're in collections. I know a Nascar driver owns one of them.

    Im sorry but i have a complaint which I guess is just typical to how things are done nowadays but no where are we seeing any references or details of what made the boss model such a special version of mustang...nobody is mentioning you couldnt get a 429 boss with AC so people really understand power, and what was currently about to change with fuel regulations. Its this lack of depth and knowledge that to me creates ... il leave it there

    • @thewriter2549
      @thewriter2549  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your complaint is fine - yes right no A/C, but that Thermactor smog system!! A NASCAR engine shackled, except with a few pertinent mods.
