I'm very surprised that Richard's ties to the World Economic Forum still haven't been mentioned by this channel. Considering the amount of times Guy has talked about the organisation and their plans to try to control us all. Seems like it would be an important point to mention that they now have one of their members at the head of one of the largest crypto exchanges out there.
Only spoken when convenient.
Makes 2 of us, Guy called Richard a great guy, during an interview on another channel this week. Maybe Richard handed a nice lum sum $ to Coin Bureau before this interview with Jessica to stop mentioning Wef.
Binance is far from the only exchange now involved with the WEF. The exchanges involved with the WEF are looking for a further impact, faster. This is certainly not the best case scenario, but it is the scenario we are being dealt.
Thank you for info. I didn't know. The shit show with binance from the Babylon sec makes all the more sense now with the install of a wef scum bag. I was never a binance customer and this move just confirmed that I will never be one.
If only someone would look beyond the wallets of these guys and stop praising criminals just because they got rich or hold positions.
$4 Billion dollar fine...Perhaps even more insane is that a 6 year old company can pay that fine and carry on with their business.

He should go to jail. He purposely violated international laws and sanctions to gain an advantage on competitors.

I'm surprised more videos don't mention the US members of congress meeting with SBF and investing in his exchange, making a lot of money and then the same members being involved in the initial investigation of SBF.

How do we know he's not gonna mess it up?
Remember that Richard was "installed" after removing CZ after the agreement with the gov. So consider this message all you need to know about to "whom" he could respond. And he was very clear that regulations was his highest priority.

For all the goofing around you guys do on Coin Bureau, this interview was very professional both in substance and visually. Nice work.
We understand the optics would look bad asking questions about his ties to the World Economic Forum, however, i do hope Guy looks into this. Otherwise people will question Coin Bureau's reporting. Especially after Guy consistently calls out W.E.F's dystopian wants.
The WEF connection is disturbing, but not necessarily bad. CZ would have been careful about his selection of replacement executives. We won't know whether it's good or bad until action has occurred. It's possible this WEF connection may favour exchanges, or wreck them. Time will tell. It may be good for the crypto industry to have a crypto heavy as "our man" in the WEF

This is hands down the most important TH-cam video about the industry, understanding the Binance debacle from the horse’s mouth, Richard Tang is a great man, been following him long before CZ stepped down, he is very qualified and committed, honest and reachable just like the great CZ. We wish him all the luck and good health while leading the greatest crypto exchange in history!

@@ph318 To those screaming CZ and Binance are criminals: nowhere I find something about him or Binance being guilty of criminal activities.
"He pleaded guilty to violating anti-money laundering requirements."
This doesn't mean he pleaded guilty of laundering money, but means that Binance failed to meet the AML requirements.
Literally everyone with a starting crypto company (especially exchanges) fail to meet these requirements in the beginning. This doesn't make you a criminal ffs.

@@ph318Binance based in Portugal and launched in 2017, then in 2019 the US gov created crypto exchange regulations and have now charged this non US company with breaches of regulations which didn’t exist when they started. Sounds fair.
Regulation, selling your data to the government, monitoring your actions, and taxation.

I know this might be 'controversial' to say (especially, among crypto folks), but remember when Steve Jobs named Tim Cook as his successor, a lot of people in the tech industry took it as a sign that Apple is concentrating on 'streamlining' its products and operations. With Teng's background, it's one way for CZ and Binance to demonstrate their commitment to compliance and regulations, amid the 'skepticism' of the regulators. Some may argue that going 'too far' this path might stifle Binance's vitality, but for it to survive in this environment -- the only way forward for the company is *probably* to become 'boring'.

The question here is who is going to pay the fine. I would say the customers, as the rewards in Binance earn (staking & flexible) have been cut dramatically

U.S gov deceived CZ he went to US voluntarily. US gov wants more money because of US debt. It’s unfair how CZ been treated. He is honourable person. Binance is much better than mainstream Banks.
It is not because mainstream banks are doing shabby jobs, that allows you, me or anyone else to do shabby jobs.
@@LordNementon not sure which bank you use my bank don’t allow me to do any shabby job. All mainstream banks are based on fractional reserve. They co mingle with customers funds, borrow our funds to businesses and then they go bankrupt and then tax payers has to pay for it.
That is the reason why BTC was created by Satoshi Nakamoto… the famous headline “Chancellor on the Brink of Second Bailout for Banks” this was timestamp on the first BTC block.

I've used several exchanges over the years and honestly Binance was my favorite. Easiest and lowest fees. Never had any issues with them.

He’s good at corporate word salad, I’ll give him that. 😂 transparency is key. They’re going to need to be very transparent more than most corporations need to be. One slip up and they’re doomed. A lot of their users must be weary now.

The only thing I don't understand about Binance, is why are you not annually audited by a big 4 accounting firm? If transparency, compliance and clarity are top of the agenda, then such an audit will shed light on this and make current and future consumers feel more at ease to participate on Binance.
Also, why does Binance not have a separate registered custodian arm?

Cz is a hero and a true crypto champion, so glad binance will continue to be a big player in the game, after all they have been the exchange that brought crypto to the masses, they have always been the leaders and the others followed, no exchange would be where it is without binance blazing the trail!
Binance should reapply to the regulator of Singapore for a license to operate there. This will show they are serious about working towards improving their systems to meet the ‘best- of- class’ regulation standards.

LCX will do well since it's a regulated exchange and iso2022 compliant. They used to partner with binance and they broke it off once LCX realized that bobance would never get compliance!
