Our yorkie is now 16 days with us. Her energy (zoomies) is amazing, responsive to training (sit, paw, down) is amazing, endless happiness, plays with every toy you give her no matter how big the toy is. I agree, you need to leave her in the playpen longer for training pad success. It's a lot of work, but they're worth it. Thank you for your vid.
I recently trained my new Chihuahua puppy to use a litter box. As I purchased a 24 X 18 wire doggy crate and stuck a doggy bed, a doggy blanket, and some doggy toys inside it. At the same time, I also bought a 24 X 18 solid plastic container with high sides. Then using a hack saw, I cut an opening on one side of it big enough for a chihuahua to enter and exit it with ease. I then filled the bottom of that plastic container with one inch of pine pellets to make it my new doggy litter box. Then with the puppy inside the doggy crate, I butted the litter box entrance to the door of the doggy crate. As the idea was the puppy would sleep and play in the doggy crate and then would eliminate in the litter box and it worked like a charm. As this was by far the easiest and fastest way I have ever potty trained a puppy and it was also the first time I did it without having not one puppy mistake inside the house whatsoever. In fact, the best part about this method is the puppy literally trains itself. Meanwhile, using a litter box means I don't have to worry about maintaining a schedule to let the puppy out. I don't have to worry about whether it is snowing or raining or whether it is freezing or too hot outside. I don't have to worry about leaving the puppy alone for extended periods of time. I also don't have to worry about fleas, ticks, or my puppy picking up a disease another dog left behind. Had I realized the convenience of using a litter box sooner, I would have been using them a lot sooner. Not to mention that there is no faster, better, or easier way to potty train a dog than the method I described above. Lastly, the pine pellets are not only odorless, but if you use a sifting cat litter box as an aid to clean your doggy litter box, it makes cleaning your doggy litter box a snap. Pine pellets are also far cheaper than pee pads.
Great video! We are being blessed with a 3 month old yorky in a few weeks and I can’t wait! The potty training is scary but watching your video eased my nerves.
Thanks for the tip of using a soiled pad to attract them to be able to find their scent. I'm gonna try that. I picked up my Teacup Yorkie last Thursday.
Thank you so much for this video! It has helped tremendously, I just got a 3month old mini Schnauzer and he learned from the first try! You are awesome 👏
I did the same thing with the charcoal pads as you. The light gray is the side up and the dark side is the waterproof side. I am so glad you are being successful I am not having much luck. But I have been putting her in the play pen potty area first thing in the money instead of letting her walk through herself! I just subscribed to your channel and I definitely need to learn how to clean her eyes!
Cool! Yes, I like the charcoal pads much better. I had them upside down at first, Lol! I hope you begin to have some luck soon! I have a eye cleaning video as well. Thanks for subscribing!🤗
She's gorgeous! I had a Yorkie, Jordan, he passed away years ago. 😢 I have a Yorkie now, such blessings! I'm also a new subscriber. Loving your content! 💘
I just got mine’s February 29th he’s a puppy he has lots of toys but he likes to bite on other things I’m trying to teach him how to not do that he’s very smart and I know it’s going to take me some time I just got him a play pen as well this video helped a lot 🥰
Great video! You did a great job! My Yorkie is 4 mo old and is using the pads…..well, most of the time😋. I hope you have a video of teaching them to go outside. Whew, I can’t imagine this ever happening 😁. Thanks again!❤️
Our almost 4 month old Yorkie is trained now to go outside. But I just realized he needs to know how to go indoors cause we have freezing rain and cold snowy winters. He won’t go outside then I am sure. So now we are working on an indoor place. He is a bit confused about the indoor solution.
What kind of treats do you give her my Zoey is 10 weeks and I was giving her bil jac chicken liver the man at petsmart Recommend them and peanut butter flavor but she doesn't like them

How often you take her out?
She is house trained. So as long as we have pads down she goes on them. She only does her thing outside if we are out for a walk 🤗
not only do I feel comfortable with this video because our dogs are identical but cause it’s black woman 💙
