Anyone else notice how during the fight against Julius in Aria of Sorrow that parts of the castle begin to break off the moment he uses Grand Cross? It really is a testament of how strong he really is.
@@skyblazer8732 As hard as it is to beat him, it's still my favorite boss fight in the game, and the fact that he is holding back his strength makes it more iconic. Maybe the destroyed parts of the chaos realm reflect what happened outside.
Gotta love how him casting the grand cross feels like you shouldn't underestimate the man who killed Dracula for good back in 1999. This theme is just as imposing as Julius.
@@jorgerfm364 I don't mean any of the following words in a disrespectful manner. I knew it, I gave it for granted but can you answer a question? Compared to tracks like your YM2612 + SN76489 Aquarius "2.0", I feel like some of your newest tracks are less quality. However, I don't think is a matter of sound, even tough I feel like it is a bit, but rather visual. The dark background, with the names of the channels and the blueish/greenish waveforms of the 2 synth waves and noise channels rather than white like the 6 FM, and the separation and division of each channel, with the use of vertical and horizonal rows grayish and greenish, gave to the presentation a strong and appealing look. About the sound quality, do you think I'm right in a way or another or it is a feeling of mine? I would like for all three YM2612 + SN76489 of: - Beginning (Akumajou Densetsu) - Crucifix held Close (PoR) [Non-arranged version] - Heart of Fire (Castlevania) [VRC 6 redone 2.5 by Yone2008] to aim high quality, both sound and visuals, like your second version of Aquarius which is overall one of your best works, if not the best. Thank you. Please don't be annoyed by my long comment
The answer to que question you have Some of my works are not as good as I want, and that's because they don't translate as well to Genesis hardware or I can't do them justice, the latter probably the most common, but I'm very pessimistic about myself, so I still post them regardless, for people to hear them and give their opinions, because maybe I am being to hard on myself, but turns out it's true. Most likely I could do better on instrumentation or choose better tracks that would translate well, and don't try to challenge myself with things that I know will not work. I try to fit everything the original track has, even though the limitations won't allow, and that's another reason why some of them don't sound pleasing. For example: the Genesis doesn't have built-in reverb or echo capabilities, so I use a common technic that consists of using another channel to serve as echo, giving a better and fuller sound, but loosing it as a result. That's just the tip of the iceberg, but I hope you understand.
Soma: "Knock it off Julius, I'm not Dracula!"
*casts Hellfire at Julius*
Julius: "And what was that, then?"
Soma: "It was um.. it was.. a... hadoken?"
It does a decent amount of damage! What do you WANT from me?
The GBA entries all have this unique charm to them. Idk how to describe it, but they're "comforting" in a way.
Oh hey German Borderlands guy didn't expect to see you here
@@Circ00mspice I got into Castlevania recently, it's been a blast.

I read "Heart of Fire" and I got goosebumps.
You know why.
Then I read the title better and I snapped back to reality...
I'm not disappointed though.
@@Dejan27 Don't worry, I didn't forget, this one was an ongoing project that I finished recently.
