Sampdoria stadium where they played romania was good for teams i liked, it was the best football stadium in italy, ie it was like an english top flight stadium. Really liked the sampdoria stadium, it reminded us of an english top flight stadium Most italian stadiums had running tracks around them, and that was not english top flight games. But sampdoria stadium probably helped ireland alot, due to it being like an english top flight stadium at that time.
The first time I saw this I didn’t get it, because I hadn’t heard the context. Which was that the team has been given an audience with the pope where he had told them than when he was a boy he had played as a goalkeeper
The fucking Pope would have saved that 😂😂😂 You need to have seen the previous video describing the team’s visit to meet the Pope and the Pope telling Pat Bonner he would be especially watching his performance as the Pope used to be a goalie back in Poland.
