I personally thought it was interesting to see different points of view in relationships in this show. It's actually kinda refreshing to see. I think the main issue with Adrien and Kagami's relationship and why it failed (apart from the obvious) is that she's a very blunt and straightforward person who isn't too well versed in empathy, which isn't her fault, whereas Adrien is very much in the clouds at every possible moment. Kagami will point things out and call him out, but they're both **really** sheltered kids who don't understand social cues all that well. Just concerned to see where Kagami's character will go from here

I love how season 4 has actual continuation, because it means the plot can be way more interesting throughout the entire season. Things that happen at the beginning affect things that happen later on and I love it so much! Can’t wait until all the episodes are on Disney plus so I can binge them 🤩

idk if this is Conon or not, but my explanation for ladybug not letting Chat Nior know her identity, and vise versa is chat blanc. if you remember in the episode, ladybug doesn't know much about how he was akumatized, all she knows is that he now knew her identity, and that had something to do with it. so she isn't telling him in fear of chat blanc happening again, clearly seen by him showing up in her nightmare in sentibubbler.

Yep Marinette being Marinette by avoiding the problem instead of telling Chat that he was akumatized in a different time-line and that she is scared of it happening again. Chat being Chat would totally believe it and not question it further.

Kagami is such a sad case. She easily is a product of her environment. Her momis so, so cold that she copies her, unlike Adrain where he doesn't want anyone to feel that "cold" cause he knows how it feels. The yin/yang in this show is beautiful. Thats the sad part though, I love Kagami but is it right for Adrian because that is his home life, brutal honesty with maybe a few golden moments inbetween with his dad and Natalie? He even complains about his schedule and order in life where Marinette complains about her mess of a life (where ladybug is order and Chat Noir is a little Chaos). Life is grey after all
Aaah I love this so much 🥺 I think Kagami and Adrien have a lot in common with their home lives but ultimately they werent the perfect match!

I think ladybug is even more reluctant for them to reveal their identities after she witnessed the events of chat blanc without knowing the full context of the situation. It didn’t happen because they both revealed it to each other but it was due to the secrecy.

With regards to them not revealing their identities to each other, I've seen a fanfic comic that came out after Rocketear where she tells him it's because it's their miraculouses Shadow Moth is after, not Carapace's and Rena Rouge's. (Not that that's canon (that we're aware of), but it's a thought.)
Coming to Marinette'd defence, she did live through Chat Blanc... She knows what might happen if they learn each others Identities sooooooooo yeah.
Also, I am wondering, since Marinette's lucky charm has been akumatized twice, I wonder if a power in the future will be reakumatizing the objects that has happened before or something like that. That would be wild

that would only happen if Adrien knew Marinette's secret identity but not the other way round. Also, Marinette should be able make lucky charms for herself and Adrien. We've seen her make 2 at the same time in Crocoduel so she should be able to make however many she wants whenever she wants. Also, the butterfly effect would take place because it would be on the same day as it was in Cat Blanc.
@@mrfivehead258 Chat Blanc told LB that "their love did this to the world", so Mari thinks that them revealing their identities and dating caused the huge destruction. She doesn't know that Gabriel knowing their identities caused the end of the world. So she most likely blames herself for letting her emotions and feelings get in the way. Neither LB nor Chat is to blame here. It's all just misunderstanding and lack of proper communication

I feel like many people get "triggered" when Kagami says to Adrien that he's acting silly when he's doing a Chat noir pose and not himself. It's because Kagami never saw the Chat noir side of Adrien. It would be definitely weird to see someone you know suddenly switch personalities. Imagine a Head prefect becoming a Delinquent. So she assumed that he was joking.

You know, I think a lot of people focus too much on Adrien's disappointment, but I don't think Kagami's completely wrong in the drawing scene? Cat Noir's a side of Adrien he doesn't get to express too often, but that doesn't make it the 'real' him. Maybe who he wants to be, but that isn't exactly the same. He's actually pretty closed off as Chat Noir too, just more lively about it.
Tbh I don’t think Adrien has had the chance to fully and freely explore who he is except when being Chat Noir, which is why he sees it as his genuine self. His true self is somewhat of a mix of both identities. He just represses a lot of his personality irl and goes too wild with Chat Noir. I think when Adrien lets loose and has a little fun and when Chat Noir is subtly clever or slightly less exaggerated his real self becomes more noticeable.
I do agree that Kagami does notice he’s not being himself, but she’s also very wrong by declaring his “perfect” side is who he truly is. The “perfect” side of him is another facade built to please his father.
People focus on the impact on Adrien and his feelings because, for one, the show is actually focusing on Adrien this time around.
For two, even if Kagami is technically not wrong about him pretending, the point of the scene is that Adrien is still exploring who he is and that Kagami ends up yet another person in Adriens life who projects her expectations and preconceived notions onto him and wants to make him fit to her standards.
Honestly, it was a terrible first date idea from Kagami. Sitting model still without a move for drawing is tiring and dull, he has enough of it in his life. Worst than that can be if the artist keeps getting angry with her work. There wasn't really proper communication between them, Kagami was too focused on her drawing only. It's cute from Adrien he tried to open to her or make the moment better with a little fun.

I could never hate on Kagami! I really WANT to see Adrien and Marinette together, but Kagami has the moves! I think that's why there's Kagami-Luka ships: her brutal-yet-secretly-vulnerable drive would really create tasty romance chaos with Luka's sensitive-but-patient vibe.
Although I do have a reason Marinette might not trust her adorable Cat-Eyed Alien of a partner with her true identity: Dark Cupid, Princess Fragrance, Puppeteer I, Despair Bear... fortunately, he isn't mind-controlled in several other episodes... but it's still an ever-present threat and she has to rely on him more than anyone else. It's silly, but I think, as capable as she is, the "she's only 14-16 years old" works for me in this case.

I feel like when Kagami comments on Adrien’s poses for her sketches, that’s her projecting onto Adrien - specifically when she says “No, that’s silly.” It makes me think that Kagami at one point in her life was just like Adrien, wanting to be a normal, happy girl but her mother wants her to straighten up and be perfect.
Edit: I could be reading into this too much but I feel like Kagami is just like Adrien, being bound to their parents’ words and requests at the expense of their freedom and feelings.

I live for moments of Cat Noir sacrificing himself, in all honesty. I do get that it was a prevalent writing issue, with him often being sidelined or used as a punching bag... but moments like in this battle against Lies or in Gamer 2.0 are moments I really enjoy
And maybe I'm in a minority about this next part, but I actually think Ladybug's refusal to confide in Cat Noir is understandable. Obviously I don't think that's the healthiest choice for her, nor would I say it's necessarily the best story direction, but I do still enjoy it
I'm pretty sure the canon reason is that Marinette was traumitized by Cat Blanc. On top of this new Guardian responsibility turning her life upside-down (she was already noted to frequently be late or even completely miss events and forget assignments beforehand), she also knows that her loving Cat Noir somehow caused the end of the world

I think there are two reasons why Marinette doesn’t trust Cat noir with her identity
1) we can tell that she’s still traumatized from chat blanc because in sentibubbler he appears in her nightmare (if I remember correctly) and you can see how scared she is. And she knows that him knowing about her identity caused his akumatization and turned him into chat blanc who destroys the universe
2) imagine if they know each other’s identities and one of them gets akumatized or gets placed under some kind of control. Like if chat noir gets akumatized (lets say it’s not a chat blanc scenario) and he decides to threaten to hurt Marinette’s parents or something. Or it could be the other way around and Marinette threatens to hurt Adrien’s friends. Even if they somehow manage to save the situation, hawkmoth would have discovered their identities. He’ll know that Marinette is Ladybug through an akumatized Chat noir and same thing for Marinette/Ladybug.

The entire point of the Cat Blanc episode was to put the fear of sharing identities with Cat Noir into Marinette/Ladybug once she became guardian.
I do like that Kagami isn't like "oh sure we can be friends" especially where it felt like overall Luka was still Simping for Marientte after Truth.
