Glad you had a great dining car attendant, Linda seemed nice and is what makes the trip more enjoyable!

This was the main reason I did this video. When I was doing my research on Business Class, some of the videos (including one from less than a year ago) were showing the car as having a 2+1 seating configuration, rather than the 2+2.

The Amfleet cars (used on the east coast) have Business Class in a 2+1 configuration, all Superliner cars (used on the west coast) have Business Class in a 2+2 configuration. The Coast Starlight is the only long distance train that has Business Class.

@@LARailProductions You are somewhat correct. Business class on Superliners and California cars are in a 2-2 configuration. On Amfleet and Horizon cafe/business class cars seating is in a 1-2 configuration with 6 rows. However, on dedicated amfleet business class cars seating is in a 2-2 configuration with 16 rows. The same is true for the Acela Express. The 1-2 seating is used on all Midwest corridor routes (ex. Illinois Zephyr, Lincoln Service, Blue Water) and some select northeast routes (ex. Vermonter). The full amfleet car with 2-2 seating is used on most northeast services (ex. Northeast Regional, Carolinian). Finally the Coast Starlight is not the only long distance train to have business class, the Lake Shore Limited and Palmetto also has business class.

Should have gone downstairs in the 31029 coach (last one on the train) you would have found a baggage compartment rather then the downstairs seating. Rarely you will find the downstairs in the coaches a snack bar (350XX cars), a kiddie lounge (345XX cars)

So, business class seats are the same size as coach seats and no arm rest in the middle?
