All of a sudden, the whole media is assuming that $500,000 x 9 is coming from Shohei’s account. Everything is based on Ippei’s interview with ESPN. Ippei is the kind of person who has no problem lying about his resume. Ippei doesn’t even tell Shohei about addressing the whole team about what he said to ESPN. It seems obvious who is lying
Whatever the nature of the situation, it was not smart to pay the bookie in a wire transfer from his personal account. He should have paid in Crypto or withdrew the cash and given it to his buddy to pay off the debt.
