Since 2000, 14 different teams have won the World Series in MLB. In the last decade, 87% of the league has made the postseason at least once. Since 2000, 3 teams have accounted for 66% of the NBA titles Please don't talk to me about parity in baseball
I'm a METS' fan and SOTO is not worth that amount of money, but the deal would not have been done if STEARNS was doing the negotiations. The most he would have offered was four hundred to five hundred millions. In this negotiations COHEN took the bull by the horns and STEARNS was just an after thought.
Only 5 owners aren’t billionaires. The braves owner is worth 9 billion the A’s owner is worth 3 billion. Owners choose not to spend that’s the problem. I’m so tired of “the haves and have nots” they all have
This year was Big Market v. Big Market. But in the past 10 years, Arizona, Kansas City (twice), Cleveland, and Tampa have all made it to the WS. Given the crazy playoff scenario, I’m not sure MLB is as top heavy as we think.
Unlikely Soto opts out after 5 years.....hes making the most money ever and his age is 31 at that time. Unless he puts up ungodly numbers throughout the first 5 years he will be hard pressed to get the money moving forward from anyone else that he would get by sticking it out in Queens.
No they did not get surprised. The Mets were clearly all in. They wanted him back when he was twice traded but were waiting for when it just took mo to get him.
The Mets got shaken down. One man isn't worth that much money. He is a one dimensional player worth maybe 300 million for his bat. DH in 5 years. Yankees did the smart thing. We shall see in September
lol, maybe they should also trade Nestor for Betts, Ohtani and Freeman. Skenes would cost more than any team has in their farm right now, the pirates have zero reason to trade him.
@theodore4976 it could happen Famous words of Angels in the Outfield film I mean Santa already brought Soto to thirtysomething Mets he could bring a strong Right arm form Pitts too...🎁🎗
Boomer is such a joke! That's what Cashman has done? Tell that to JD Davis batting cleanup for them last season. Cashman did such a great job with that roster. How about the American League was weak last season? Cuz that's the truth of it!

I think they should trade for Pittsburgh pitcher Paul Skenes I think he and his Gal would enjoy the Eastern side of NYC...📃🖊⚾️
The pirates are not trading him
