I have to agree with you there. When I watch other hour long videos they seem to drag by but these ones seem too short. Sign of great content for sure.
MBTS is a topnotch welder that more than makes up for his moments when he is left speechless and you can almost see his brain reloading....lol. I love the shop video's, it brings the best out of you and who ever is working with you on any particular day. Keep up the good work Mike.
Mean while back in the shop ,with Mike and Arron ,and short jokes time, they do manage to get quality work done while providing a comedy hour for us viewers I'm just loving it these garage repair sessions are the best ,please do more of them ,I'm still laughing .
Mike, your episodes are never to long for us subs. They may be for you tho with all the editing you have todo to crank them out. One thing I really like about you guys is you gladly admit to your mistakes / oopsies even joking about them. It makes them even more enjoyable to watch. Can't wait for the next episode of Bubba Dump 's new stacks getting built.
Having worked in a structured environment, it is gratifying to see Aaron following best practice in regard to safety. Wild and woolly is cool, but common sense works too.
That’s why you always take one step back on several timestamps to overlook what is happening during construction. I work with CAD a lot and these mistakes are even more common then because you don’t always oversee everything. It will still be the nicest stack on a Volvo dumper ever.
When my dad was still around, I would watch him working with his metal designs for combines and other farm equipment. It was fascinating and confusing to me how he would be measuring and doing complex math to bring it all together. I wished he would have lived longer so I could have learned his skills. You guys help fill that void. Thanks for another fun video.
Dang… I was ready to help put the fuel tank back on !!! Hope it comes out tomorrow !!! I’m getting good at supervising these projects. I even bought some Pepsi so I could take a break with y’all 👍😃.
Oops, “maybe”, I got confidence in ya, it’ll work out, “maybe “but ya know that’s what they make torches and welders for, you know, those fine adjustment tools!!!!😊. The stacks are going to look awesome though, can’t wait to see the final product. Thanks for the tag along vid, fun watching it.
Back in my day, I worked with a sub-contractor regularly who reminded me of the comradery/relationship you and Arron have. It has now been almost 20 years since that period of my life. I miss that. I hope you two continue your relationship and please cherish every moment of it.
Great video. As far as "draw it up in CAD", you can also draw it on graph paper with a pencil. Cardboard and plastic templates can come in handy too. Just my 2 cents, worth twice that.
Love the shop work videos. Keep in mind you are on level shop floor when you check clearance. Out in the field if one front tire is in a hole it will make a height difference on the stacks when Bubba Dump articulates.
You met and Aaron are like a marriage, you pick on each other’s ideas and then also clean no fault of mine when something goes bad but in the end you compromise at the 50-50! That’s right 5050 equals 100% of the peas, a deer, and that’s the end of that! You guys are great together and are a real joy to watch and listen to your work is as always done dirt perfect in the end
16:00 To double check measurements on a more complicated build I like to draw it out full scale on the floor, if possible. For me it makes it easier to catch any mistakes before any material is cut.
Love these shop videos with the two of you. They are fun to watch. Y'all sound like an old married couple. I'm sure y'all heard that before. Good video. 👍
It's never a dull moment watching the two of you create something, but now we're all busting a gut laughing at the idea of Aaron welding in yoga pants. I can't imagine how many Lululemon Flyers are coming your way.. All jokes aside the welds look really nice on camera MBTS. can't wait to see finished product. 👌
As you were building I was thinking an articulated truck gets tight on the sides when it turns but of course you already thought about that. 😬 The stacks look awesome. I hope there’s enough clearance. 🤞🤞🤞
Looks good guys. Could try nipping down your stack supports to bring it much closer to the headache rack or miter cut different angled offsets for your clearance issue.
At least with the heavy steel diamonds rising up, no one expects the chrome on them.. a big plus for a machine that gets washed even maybe twice in your heavy rain storms. My OCD factor is dirt on equipment, I'd have to find a creek or pond to drive through just once in a while... but your ground doesn't have that many places where water has rock under it so a mud hole is a sink hole in yer area.... looking fine
I was watching and 'figurering' (( is that a word )) along with you guys, and I never thought of the articulated steering too! But hey, this only means another good DP Shop Video for me to watch and enjoy.
Mike when I am wielding up a project that is going to need paint on it I always use Starting fluid Or Either to get rid of any petroleum product off of the painted surface that way it will never peel. It works better than brake clean and there is no ill effects like Cancer which I have fought of 6 times, because of the effects of using MEK & Toluene.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Providing they fit these new stacks look amazing. From my perspective watching on my phone it looks like they should be fine. Looking forward to seeing the final installation with exhaust rolling out. Wishing you and your family the best.
A message for MBTS aka "Safety Man" - it would be a great idea to wear a full face shield when running the grinder with cut-off wheel, especially when cutting, in the position as he was when cutting the round exhaust pipe on Bubba. Why? If the wheel would have fractured and fragmented it's quite possible he could have taken a fragment to the carotid artery. If he did, he'd of gone home in a body bag. I had one fragment on me and there were bits of it stuck in the wall. Just say'n! Great video! We've all come to love Bubba Dump and the stacks are going to make it even cooler! (The wrench is in the gray cart, against the garage door.) Thanks, Mike & Aaron! Lee
Mike I'm glad that you like straight pipe exhaust I had a Ford 250 super duty powerstroke and it had no muffler just a piece of pipe it was 5inch straight pipe with stacks coming up threw the bed of the truck it sounded good when I would get down on it it made the shifting and growling and turbo whistle ing sound I had it chipped of course I also had it lifted 8inches with a fabtech lift along with 37inch tires on it it was charcoal gray I named him stone you need to get bubba dump some tires like wades truck tiny has on it some flotation tires I once had a little tractor called Pasquale and it had the same kind of tires on it as wades truck tiny has it had flotation tires it was unstoppable tractor I use to take it in water and it just kept on going and going it was bubba dump it was articulateing like bubba dump and cat loaders and all. Of the loaders that are in this world it was an Italian made tractor over in its home country they yuse to take it on some mean steep turf that's why they gave it the articulation I could make the front tires hit the back ones on it it had a bucket and drag on it I use to pull my Vermeer chipper with it around our avocado grove that we had
Love those straight stacks keep up the awesome videos. Mbts and dp make a really good team. They know how to work and have fun at the same time. Denis from Santa Rosa CA.
3 suggestions: A: Cut cross member pipe in half, and butt weld correcting piece of pipe into center to get proper length. Aaron could do in a heartbeat. A simple and better looking fix that would not involve any concern about truck turning interference B: Use CAD, Cardboard Assisted Design. 1Trace workpiece onto flat cardboard, 2cut our design, trace cardboard silhouette onto workpiece. C. convert fractions to decimals for adding and subtracting dimension i.e. 4 3/4" becomes 4.75''. easier to do with less chance for error. Thank you for sharing.
Hello👋 from the Netherlands🇳🇱. it looks great , but I especially HOPE that the sound still sounds great , because the sound first with the single pipe was fantastic , I am looking forward to the follow-up video haha . I Love the shop video's thanks for the video DP and Aaron . Sincerely Hollandduck 🇳🇱🦆
Hind-sight is great if you saw it beforehand Mike. I now know why these off road Volvo dump truck have their exhaust in the centre of the cam (rotation pivot point), so you have answered a long held question for me if you are looking for a positive from this project. The one question I ask is that the cab is sprung and floats from the body or engine mount chassis part. The exhaust is rigid to both the cab and the engine gives me conce3rn that you need some flexibility thrown in to allow the cab to still float and not fracture the exhaust that is secured to the engine. PS allow MBTS to pick the green for the headache rack, see if you get a blue or another shade of yellow. Great show with you two and never realised how short your MBTS really is. and that is a good sign as he can access areas you are unable too.
@@geraldwills4392 I can't see them putting a flapper on it or something similar. But it's possible there may be an issue with sloppy loading. They should be angled enough to avoid that.
I dig all your videos, but these shop projects with you two are by far my favorite !
I have to agree with you there. When I watch other hour long videos they seem to drag by but these ones seem too short. Sign of great content for sure.
Yeah friends in the shop working away are by far the best video's.
Thanks
D.P. - I cannot get enough of your collaboration videos with M.BT.S. You guys are the best.
Thanks

MBTS needs a raise, way underpaid.
I really enjoy these shop videos where the two of you are trying to outwit one another and good to see so much laughter.
Mean while back in the shop ,with Mike and Arron ,and short jokes time, they do manage to get quality work done while providing a comedy hour for us viewers I'm just loving it these garage repair sessions are the best ,please do more of them ,I'm still laughing .

Awesome, just awesome. The new pipes are just what Bubba Dump needed.
That’s why you always take one step back on several timestamps to overlook what is happening during construction. I work with CAD a lot and these mistakes are even more common then because you don’t always oversee everything.
It will still be the nicest stack on a Volvo dumper ever.
You and Aaron crack me up with the antics love watching yall work together.

It was fascinating and confusing to me how he would be measuring and doing complex math to bring it all together. I wished he would have lived longer so I could have learned his skills. Bless your wife's heart on the first drive!!! I like this video as usual, heal quickly!!!

Howdy Mr. Dirt, So far??? the new pipes look awesome! Looking forward to watching the road test! Stay safe! Jim

Thanks for keeping it "G" rated and family friendly.
Thanks for watching
I'll tell you what that MBTS can weld. Great job on the stacks. It's going to be a nice addition to Ole Bubba Dump. Love the shop videos DP.

Great start on the stacks, no fires 🔥 yet, that’s a good thing 👍🇺🇸

I’ve been waiting on this video for a while. Ever since I saw the post on FB. 👍🏻👍🏻
Your new intro sequence is a big improvement. I no longer have to click on the mute button.
16:00 To double check measurements on a more complicated build I like to draw it out full scale on the floor, if possible. For me it makes it easier to catch any mistakes before any material is cut.
It will look great when painted. I hope it clears and does not need adjustment.
Enjoying the maintenance videos !!! 👍
Thanks

Good morning sunshine! Another great video! Much love from Henderson Ga
Mike and Aaron great build of the stacks! You two make it look easy! Thanks for sharing! Kevin

I wondered how long it would be before you put your "custom exhaust system" on Bubba...can't wait to hear it!

The world of fabrication.

Like the Intro of family Work and etc..

Never a dull moment in this video that is fur sure guys. So far it is looking good just hope not too many changes to get it perfect bro. Safe travels
I wasn’t big on the diamond shape at first but now that you put it up there it definitely looks good!

Nice job fellas! Looks awesome!
Those stacks are freaking sweet. Awesome video. Keep’em coming
Thanks
Nice lift setup you got there, along with machines on rollers it looks to work well for you
I admire what you 2 can accomplish in the shop. I have been wondering if the new stacks are going to fit in tight turns.
At least you caught it before it was finished/painted and pulling out the shop. Hey you could always just tell Matt not to turn so sharp.
Pretty cool stack set up! Great job!
Your most entertaining videos are when you and man behind the scenes are bantering back and forth when doing maintenance…😜😎
Thanks

Thanks
I like the new family picture Mike👍✌️
Thanks
it looks absolutely awesome DP and MBTS, y'all doing some fine work.
Great video 👍Do enjoy the messing about in the shop,a flex joint to the stack's might be a good idea if the cab is rubber mounted😊
Watch your videos and enjoy them. 😊 Almost a neighbor....Vine Grove Ky
Yup and thanks
I love the shop project videos

I’ll bet when y’all are done it will be dirt perfect. Another Awesome Video
Love the stacks. Can't wait to hear what they sound like.
Just a thought,. What about possible debree getting down the exhaust ???
@@geraldwills4392 I can't see them putting a flapper on it or something similar. But it's possible there may be an issue with sloppy loading. They should be angled enough to avoid that.
Zero concerns about that
Enjoy watching your videos thanks
Awesome video Guys looks Awesome and it's going to sound Awesome. The Suspense is getting me need the next video ASAP 🤣
I saw that wrench upstairs behind the broom (for a free t-shirt) MBTS for president
