One of the fun things with the Sorceror's Hat in this deck is that you know that a lot of cards are Magic Brooms. So you can call that and still have a decent chance of getting it right.
I feel your pain, this game is so hard for solo play, you can’t let the board get out of control but you also need to focus on generating lore. It is a rough dilemma. I’ve tried a Ruby steel deck that focuses on getting lore through challenging and has ways to deal damage to all of Ursula’s army and remove her items but even that’s not enough to beat the harder difficulties.
Update: I was able to beat Ursula on hard and extreme difficulties with a Amber + Steel Princess Song deck that has no items or locations, it is literally just princesses and song cards.
Yeah. After watching a couple of solo games, I really think they designed it for two players. With two players there can be so much more on the players turn to do. The only disadvantage is Ursula drawing one extra card.
Picked this up today myself and ran it solo. Couldn't beat Ursala with the pre-cons but I used the Madrigal (Amber/Amethyst) starter deck and barely got by with winning haha. Good content, though!
Really enjoyed the video, I have managed to beat easy (took me 6 hours to do though) and normal (had to use a constructed deck sapphire/ruby as couldn't do with their decks and took me 3 hours) Would be interesting to see if next villian has a set like it and love the idea of the supervised cards have a purpose as enemy for this game
I just played my first attempt and got destroyed, but not as bad as you! 😅😅😅 This is SUPER tough. My deck is feel is way better than what you used, but even still I only got 12 lore. This is Hella tough. You gotta wipe out their heavy lore characters fast and heal everything constantly... it's crazy. And can you imagine playing on normal where Ursula draws 3 at some point?!?!??!?!?! Forget that! 😮😮😮
I almost wanna houserules one of the oversized cards as alternate bosses, and add an extra rule of officially playing the card themselves once they have enough lore to do so. Would be very fun with Hades King of Olympus, in the very least.
At about an hour, yen Sid should’ve quested for 3 not 1 so you’d be at 5. Also the card where you thought it did nothing was supposed to banish one of your items, not one of Ursula’s. Great video! I’ve found myself trying to play Aggro against Ursula and then spending all my lore for effects. Cards that quest for 3+ are huge bc you know they won’t be getting challenged back.
If you're talking about Fortunate Hit, Brandon played it correctly. Ursula's opponents get to decide together one of her items to be banished. It's meant to be momentary relief for the players.
Yeah you can totally upgrade the decks that come with it if you want! Or you can use the starter decks also. You're able to use any deck you would normally use to play Lorcana!

free sub. thanks for the game, the discord, and everything you're doing for the community!

It’s kind of sad that the pre-cons that come with that have no chance against Ursula
Good video! I love that this game can be done solo. Lots of replay value.
We’re on our third attempt and we still haven’t beat her. It’s great!!!
Thank you for sharing this. I enjoyed your break down and thought process. I look forward to next time.

I really enjoyed it and i want to pickup this product. Looks really fun! Definitely play more solo please.
I enjoyed the video. I’d love to see you take another crack at it!

Can we play this 3 players
Where did you get those dice? And what size are they?

Yes!! That sounds so fun!
Can I just use any deck and write on paper for specific cards but follow the rules? Just for fun solo play while I wait for it to be delivered.
Yup you can use other decks too: 7:26
I'm confused. For Ursula, there is no ink to dry right? Her characters enter ready to rumble?
They do have to dry but they use their effects right away when they are played, they just can't quest right away x

Good catches! I’ve definitely been thinking of different strategies to take on Ursula since playing this!

What sleeves did you use? They look top quality
Dragon Shield Clear Matte!
I’m really excited to try the solo mode! Are the player decks upgradeable or play with other starter decks?

@@bsquared24 Awesome! Thank you!
@@ladydaycab In fact, in the higher difficulties, you have to tailor your deck. if not you will never win.
The audio popping in this video is beyond distracting.
I know I’m sorry :/ the audio messed up for everything I recorded that day. I have it fixed so it doesn’t happen again!
Try not to spend lord, while playing solo. You really can’t afford to.
