- Welcome to Tabletop Toolbox!
I struggled to find any information about how to play the newest expansion to Lorcana - the Deep Trouble Illuminer's Quest featuring the Sea Witch herself, Ursula! This allows for solo or cooperative play for up to 2 players - expandable to 4.
In this video I'll tell you how to play this Lorcana expansion and provide a basic introduction to Lorcana itself in case you're curious. And then I recommend some other, great cooperative, family-themed games in case you decide Deep Trouble isn't for you!
I hope you enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

Just saw this at Target and was looking for information. As you said, other videos talk about the cards, but very little of the game itself. This video is a one stop shop for a person that has no idea about the game and would like to get this set. THANK YOU!!
I'm truly glad this could help! I was definitely frustrated when I couldn't get answers to my own questions! Did you end up picking up a copy of it? Curious your thoughts, if so!
I've legitimately been struggling to find info on what the mode actually is. At times it feels like a lot of folks don't even play the game, they just like getting the cards. My shiny Magpie brain definitely understands that feeling, but your video is actually what I was looking for.
I'm thankful to hear that! Welcome and thanks for watching!
Thanks, Jeff! So, I’m guessing the intent of the solo/coop Lorcana’s difficulty is to “encourage” people to go out and purchase more cards so they can have any chance at winning? I was thinking that since it was a stand-alone game, it wouldn’t be necessary to purchase more cards, but I didn’t know anything about CCGs before watching this video.
Another easier co-op game is Castle Panic. My family has silly fun playing this, and we’re all adults! Some of our most memorable game nights included a game of Castle Panic.
That's a safe assumption. I have had one person online say they didn't have any troubles with the easy modes but they're the only person I've seen saying so to this point. I've actually never played any of the Panic! games but I've always wanted to check out Star Trek Panic... :)
@@TabletopToolbox I didn’t know there was a Star Trek Panic. How cool!
Can you mix and match cards from different seasons and make a deck ?
Yes - definitely! I tell ya, there are already so many cards to go through - it's pretty daunting.
i beat her with the Mulan deck on easy. the broom deck solo is hard to win with
Plenty of people have been playing this. It’s not low quality, the cards are sleek.
