Bank / sample management mk2?? How do you guys manage everything? From drums to melodic samples to sequences & entire songs stringed by sequences. My main goal is to just make beats on it. No live performancing. Do you use it as Roland had in the beginning. So per bank samples and patterns connected to that? I am struggling a bit finding order in my chaos lol. Also my banks are full of samples or resamples all the time...
It is a bit like that with this device. I tend to do one beat per bank, Thats usually just enough for the chops and drums that I need. Sometimes I'll use one bank button per beat, so for example, A for drums and F for chops. If you need more space, I recommend using the projects and using one project per beat, so then you basically have 10 banks to play around with.
@@spvidzNp, mane. Btw, since I've got your attention... Idk if you enjoy a left-handed smoke every now and then, but a "smoke & sp" series would likely get some views
As far as I can tell yes. When you are in pattern mode it knows the bpm so they work fine but outside of that I’ve noticed they sounds all out of whack unless you match the tempo 🤷🏼♂️
Nice tips! I always tap in tempo in while performing any MFX beat set Okay now my Wish list: what do yall want guys!? I’m Curious to hear some new ideas! Ability to tap the SUB pad for looping makes more sense to me!? Especially for overdubs or guitar players! A limiter would be an awesome tool for bus 3/4 paired with EQ! An improved Roll function (Shift + Roll) could essentially function like 16 levels of different time signatures of the last pad instead of having to tap this combination a bunch of times anyway and having less options and spending more time (I honestly don’t use it as it is, or know anyone else who does!?) Portamento Glide values while In Chromatic (And more Scales too!)
If I have my music chops on one bus. My line in (synth) on another bus. I leave my beats on no bus ie dry. Is there anything I can do to perform more with them apart from say, muting individual samples or whatever?
Maybe spend some time going through the mfx to see what they can do. That may give you some inspiration! There is a lot you could do other than just pauses
You and nervouscook$ are really beast on these machines . Roland really needs to add you to their team . For tutorials and some design ideas . I could def see it . Thanks for the help 🙏

I'm picking up my MKII more and more now and I always appreciate your videos on it!
Dope! Hope the videos have helped 🔥
Man I need to try some of those sweeps!!
Yeah man! They’re a nice dynamic to add to your beats
Good Video! Have helped me much with this device!
Glad to hear that 🤝
Nice to see some sp content! 👍

@ thanks for your response! Keep grinding, what about your pattern mode organization with this work method (1 beat two buttons (A/F)
same two banks for your patterns too. I always match my sample banks with my pattern banks
Great Tips!
🔥🙏🙌
How Can I hear the samples of the hip hop pack you have ? Thanks for the screens by the way bought the pack a while back !! You rock
Really appreciate the support! There are examples on my website, spvidz.com for most of the packs 🙏
Opposite of toggle is momentary
I've never heard that before! Thanks

Sadly not any more. I used to casually smoke but I had some chest problems a few years back and decided to cut it all out 😢
So all effects are triggered timewise by the bank bpm. Nice info, didn't know that.

What would your wishlist for a Mk3?
I'd like to see Roland do a bigger device again that can live in the studio. Bigger screen, bigger pads etc. I think that would be really fun

A filter....
getting rid of that circular display (which is not even circular)

@@spvidz as i said, the drums are on the dry bus (for now) so i wondered what other creative tricks there were...
