Love your car, but this car is easily a true daily driver. It has 4 doors, it’s reliable, and it’s not a super car... it’s not even V8. You were just saying how the car isn’t a good daily driver because you drive 30 minutes to work on the freeway on cruise control. Well.. that’s your fault, and that doesn’t make it a “non daily driver”. This car is meant to be driven day to day.

Everyday I get into my F80 after work (no matter how shitty the day has been) my car will put a smile on my face. Frankly, if you have the cash to purchase a car in this class you shouldn’t be worried about resale value. For real this car is the pinnacle of M technology in its time. Some might argue the M2 comp is the best S55 equipped platform and they have some points. But, this is hands down the best sedan that has been produced from BMW in the last 30 years imho.
Also, the crank hub isn’t statistically a problem with this engine. I’ve been running a Stage 1 BPMSport tune for over a year on a six speed manual that gets track time putting 12,000 high stress miles on the engine and not a single issue with the motor. Frankly, it seems to me like a way for people to sell parts and labor. The M engineers designed the crank hub the way it is for a reason it not some terrible oversight.
Love your IS-F. One of my very favorite cars that I’ve owned.

agree 1000% the f80 has been my dream car since I was in high school, now that I have one I can say it does not disappoint at all. I have a camry that I daily drive, so one yeah keeps the miles off the M but your other point is spot on. When you have a boring good gas daily getting behind the wheel of an M car is that much more exciting. Also your lexus is gorgeous you have great taste in cars.

I agree with about not being able to use its full potential everyday but you don’t have too. That’s what makes it a great daily, do everything car. I’ve had my 2017 m3 since April 2020, I’ve put on over 12,000 on it and I love it every time I drive it... it’s a stage 1 tuned daily driver, I don’t really push the car to its limits other than a few pulls here and there... however, I haven’t replaced my crank hub, but I’m planning on getting it replaced before I get a stage 2 kit. I agree somewhat about the first point. When I drive my daily and get back into my M4 I really enjoy it. My M4 was a daily and I still enjoyed. I’d look back every time because it’s a gorgeous view and I reflect on where I came from and can’t believe I have a car this nice and fast. Idk it’s the humbleness in me and I payoff all my cars. Mileage doesn’t matter when you have the intention on owning. I don’t get people that get bored with these cars and end up into another liability. I love cars and I’d rather collect not bounce around.

Im planning on buying an M3 f80 and I need a honest opinion ONLY from M3 owners…
So guys, I love the M3 and I want to get one soon but it doesn’t look very reliable, I feel like the car will spin out of a curve since it always spins it wheels, so how is the handling of the car and do you recommend the car and is it fast? Cuz I only see it spinning its wheels so I feel like it doesn’t accelerate that fast to a 100kmh (62mph) and it doesn’t give you that feeling the stomach when you floor it (or am I wrong)

M3 might be the perfect daily if you're into cars, especially in warmer climates. It's not a supercar or too fast so you can rev it out and push it a few times on your daily commute and get the tail out without going to jail or ending up in wall, for example when going onto on ramps and overtaking.... But I get it if you're worried about depreciation and/or just doing freeway exit to freeway exit in traffic. At that point just get a reliable hyundai

  • @911airsoftdude

You are DEF going against the grain on this one playa... everyone else says to daily these things. Is it really too fast or is it to fast for CA? Because I live in TX and everyone hits 100mph plus on their commute. Also the value of these things are about to hold if not go up when none of the new g80's sell because of how ugly the front end is. The same with c63 because merc is rumoring to take out the v8... so if you get a chance to get a get one of these or a c63 GET IT

This video is kinda dumb bro, of course its gonna lose value if you daily it and put miles on. That's not a reason that you "can't" daily drive it. I get your point but the title seems pretty exaggerated.

I have to daily drive my f80 since i have kids. Plus i cant really buy another car cuz my wife already has an suv, but i try to enjoy it as much as i can. I dont plan in selling it anytime soon. you are already loosing money on it everyday so enjoy it. I was in a position before when i had my 370z back in the day, it was a fun car plus my weekend car and i had to get rid if it, and now sometimes i say to myself oh i wish i could of enjoyed it more. I dont want to say the same thing for the m3. You never know what the future will hold.

100% agree! I have been daily driving my M3 for 5 months since my ISF was down it’s a great car and I have enjoyed every min of it. I don’t have kids yet but I’ll eventually have to sell one of the cars also to get a suv sometimes we have to make sacrifices for our families 👍🏼 I like the 370z iv thought about getting one they are pretty cheap now would make an awesome track car I used to have a 350z it was fun also

Modern Bmw's are fast but just so numb to drive in my opinion. Rather buy a Mercedes these days, at least you get better ride quality and better steering feel. Not bashing Bmw but I miss early E46 and E39 days when it was a more compelling drive.
