hi cozy friend! thank you for being here 🥰 let me know what you are working on while watching or if you’re joining the Salty Days KAL or participating in the Colorwork Cuff Club!!
One of the beautiful things about knitting is that we can change colors, length, sleeves-whatever. You’re not alone in wanting to change things-everyone does that. It would be very strange if we all did the same thing or used the same colors for a project. As you get older, hopefully you will get more comfortable with just being yourself and liking what you like without worrying about what others are doing or thinking. Best of luck!😊
I have to go up to 5.5mm needles for my Salty Days too! As soon as I did the swatch I knew my tension was too tight but thankfully going up in needle size fixed that with pre and post block gauge.
so thankful I realized before cast on day! I don’t think I would have caught that if I weren’t waiting for the KAL because I would have impatiently cast on with the wrong needles!
thank you! I actually have talked about this trick a few times on my channel hahah! but it was an audiobook in the Libby app so that trick doesn’t work! 😭 but I was able to check it out again from my other library 😂
Another lovely vlog!❤ I was working on the sewn bind off of my Tolsta sweater while watching this and it was wonderfully relaxing. I’m not sure if it’s an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy the rhythm of a sewn bind off.
I just finished Mistborn and really enjoyed it. Going to start the well of ascension next week. I’m just reading another book right now as a palette cleanser lol.
that’s sooo amazing!! what an accomplishment especially for a first 🥰 I love to do challenging projects as well! they keep me motivated and inspired to learn as I go!
I am still working on my jumper test knit but I have finished by Agnes Sweater Vest last week that combines crochet and knitting and it’s perfect for the warmer days that we are having 😊 I am excited for the cast on tomorrow of the Salty Days sweater KAL!
Came across your channel the other day, love your videos so much! I’m currently working on my first knit clothing item, a t-shirt. I’m really enjoying it!
Can't wait to see your finished Cumulus Blouse ♥ Also I read Brandon Sanderson's first book in that series but for some reason lost motivation while reading the second, should really start it again because I'm sure I'll love it! Thanks for all the cosy vibes 🥰
I can’t wait to finish it!! but it’s a buddy knit so I’m trying to finish it around the same time as my friends 😅💗 I totally relate to that feeling about the second book but I want to see how to series ends. I do think this first book was so epic that it’s hard to follow up.
I'm working on the Sandnes Garn felted double slippers that I watched Sarah from Two Purls in a Pod knit up. My daughter is about to sign on her first home and I want the slippers to be a housewarming gift for her. I love your podcast and watching you try new things. You are inspirational! ❤🧶
I'm also reading Well of Ascension, after a very slow read of The Final Empire. It's my current Kindle read, while I fly through audiobook after audiobook.😅 Looking forward to casting on for the KAL tomorrow!
I’m doing a buddy read with my sister in law of A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. It’s contemporary fiction, following four friends of different races and different social classes. It deals with a lot of dark themes and is famous for making people on TikTok sob. I was too intimidated to start it on my own because it’s not my usual genre. Also starting a pullover that’s out of my comfort zone, the fairy tale sweater by Neringa Ruke. It’s a new style for me, and I don’t have the yarn I ordered from an indie dyer just yet, so I’m anxious about how it’ll turn out
I loved that book so much (and definitely ugly cried a few times) I read it when I was in a bit of a “slump” and I read it in like 3 days!! definitely got me out of my slump and right back into another one haha. so good!
Literally knitting the same Summer Lee socks! I thought the color cuff club was extremely generous for all that you get for just $14 (in my case $12)!! I'm doing the 2nd chart for August after. Very excited for September and October charts.
yayyy so glad I could give you this reminder! I forgot to say it but if you purchase during August i think there’s actually a discount. I can’t wait to see the September socks soon!
Cooling down from a hot summer day in Austria, working on my second colorwork knit. I work on the ocean doodle cowl for my son! Would love to join the KAL but I finished my Salty Day a few months ago❤ and I looove it 😊
Love your vlog, I’m knitting a vanilla sock but after watching your video I’m contemplating investing in the Colorwork Cuff Club, I’ve been so hesitant about this pattern club and today is the last day of August… I don’t know what to do !! I have quite a few minis and sock yarn that I don’t use in my stash though
@@morganunraveled yes I’ve done 3 pairs of socks with colorwork but I find it a bit too tedious to do a full colorwork sock, I’m not patient enough to spend hours and hours of work in a simple object as a sock lol. Anyway after writing my comment I decided to buy the club and that I’m going to be stash busting my sock yarn the next few months ! Thanks for showing and talking about the pattern, love your videos and I can’t wait to see what the September grid is going to be haha
That was nice and relaxing 😌 I’m still learning but I managed to knit a newborn hat (due Nov!) and then I made myself one with a few slip ups, and now doing a Sophie scarf. Next is a balaclava for winter (I got a kit from Wool and the gang) and maaayyyybeee I’ll try a baby vest!
I just cast on a book club cardigan and I'm reading the Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson! I'm also a mostly-SAHM (I just work outside the home one day a week). I'm also always chasing my toddler/knitting at playgrounds! Do you have a yarn minder? I just got one and I looove it for knitting while chasing baby. It's fun to see a podcast from someone with similar tastes and life to mine!
aw it’s soo nice that we have so much in common!! I don’t, I just always have a tote or a basket that I toss my wip into 😂 thankfully he doesn’t play with my yarn anymore!!
I'm too reading the The Well of Ascension now 😊 Just finished The final empire. Loving these books by Brandon Sanderson. I was afraid that no book would interest me after the AMAZING Robin Hobbs Farseer Trilogy, but luckily I have been loving these Mistborn books too. Big recommendation to Robin Hobb if you haven't read her books already. I was thinking joining your Salty Days KAL, but had already ordered yarn for the Porcelain Sweater. Can't wait to cast that on as soon as the yarns arrive next week. I really love your videos and you seem such a nice person. Greetings from Finland 😊
thank you so much! the mille cardigan yarn is with knitpicks simply wool in the color winnie, the socks are in blackwattle sock yarns - a local handdyer here in Australia! 🧶
Hello Morgan. I live in Anapolis/Brasil 🇧🇷 I love your content and your cosy vibes. I’m knitting the Darling Cardigan by KutovaKika in a lovely shade of pink. Even though where I live it’s not cold to use this type of garment, someday I’ll get to wear it. 😊💗 Sending love to you and your family down there in Australia. 🇦🇺
@@morganunraveled Yes! For sure. I really enjoy crocheting/knitting Lace Patterns for tops and shirts. They are quick to make and the final result is so pretty. 🥰🧶
I was using you as background while sorting laundry, but my current project is the Christmas Eve wishes CAL, just finished week 5 (18 months after starting). Brando Sando talk, I've only read warbreaker which I loooooved but I have stormlight archive to start once I finish my current two reads
I have tried the norwegian purl and I got it down but it did not feel natural for me and felt like it was just causing more wrist movement for the other hand and would inevitably just transfer my pain. 😭 so I guess I could swap between the two to give the other wrist a break but my tension changes drastically between the two! lol
I’m actually reading the very last book of the mistborn era 2 series (wax and Wayne series). I loooove mistborn and everything around it. I definitely recommend the era 2 books as well if you wanna know what’s going on in the world many many years after the 3rd mistborn book. It’s so interesting!
Greetings from Russia) You have very beautiful works and the channel is full of inspiration. I also really love Brandon Sanderson, he is my favorite fantasy writer. 🥰
I love Kristen Lehrer’s sock knitting tutorial! Nimble Needles also has a good one! I can’t knit with DPNs, it’s too confusing for me. I usually do magic loop technique for my sock knitting! Nimble needles has a tutorial for that too :)
thank you!! it’s my book club cardigan by sari nordlund. just finished it at the beginning of August for the Book Club Cardigan KAL!📚🧺☕️ it was such a fun knit!!
I’d like to join the Salty Days KAL. I need to wait to buy DK yarn though. I have lots of worsted still to knit up so it may be a while before I can join. I love that sweater though and have had it in my queue for a while. Hello 👋 from Toronto
