What I most like abt yr videos is - that u always pet the street dogs n show them so much love. They know it n so they come running towards u, wagging their tails. It's nice that u show all the places u r travelling to. Safe journeys.from the 🇬🇧
Hi Lucie, My husband is British and when we go to places, I show them a photo of our marriage certificate and his passport page to prove it's the same person 🤣🤣. Usually that works and they charge him the local prices. Lahiru needs to explain to them that you two are married and you have a sri lankan marriage certificate. Also showing them your residence permits works as well. They always need to see documentation.

With your passport and your resident visa, you can have local prices in many places.
For exemple, I don't pay tooth temple in Kandy, 200 roupies at Dambulla and free safari. I pay only for jeep etc......
It has been the same for us in the majority of places we have visited too, but there are a couple places who have been incredibly stubborn and refused to look at our documentation. of course we want to see the places so I pay, but when a local pays absolutely nothing, and 'foreigners' have to pay, it's just a bit unfair.. 😞
@@whereslucie yes, in Lion's Rock and Pollonaruwa, residents pay like tourists, and the difference with local price is enormous.
Forest Avenue appears to be my kinda place too, for relaxation. Thank you for sharing your tour of Kurunegala. SriLanka is truly a haven to cherish, despite the chaotic ways in which she’s exploited by power crazy men and women. Looking forward to your filming of Dambulla. Oh and you don’t seem to like Durian, which were stacked next to the dragon fruits that you bought. 😏

@@whereslucie Hey Lucie 😊 can you please just get one of those phone holder mounts for your tuktuk handlebars. It's hard to watch you stressing out and to the point where you just HAVE TO park 😂 Trust me that will alleviate your stress levels. If you just know where you're going at all times and you don't have to constantly ask Lahiru, in the back seat... It'll make both of your lives infinitely less complicated. I'm a local and I still use Google maps for any and all times I'm on the road. Please man. I'm begging you 😂 it'll make the content more peaceful as well.
