Yes u can buy tree in srilanka from nuwaraeliya but now i dont know how things are as I have settled in Canada since 2011.when I was in nuwara eliya we always keep real tree and send to other places like Colombo, kandy etc
I wish happy Christmas for you and Lahiru My menu for 24th evening will be French. 25th December, my neighbour's children come at home, I'm going to prepare sweets, biscuits with cinnamon, chocolate and coconut cake and waffles They come everyday to stay some minutes and look at my Christmas tree with many stars in eyes.
Once your house is done try growing herbs..you can buy them at Diyatha Uyana on any weekend friday to Sunday. its in.kotte . ( colombo) from rosemary, thyme, basil, oregano plants anything is available Rs.100, 150 a plant. I am sure it will grow well...and you may be able to replant and sell to Galle restaurant's too.they are much in demand.

I'm sure that if you go to a shop that sells plants you may be able to buy a natural Cyprus tree. If you grow it in a pot you can bring it into the house and decorate it at Christmas time. I had a live Cyprus tree and I used to do that. Also it gives a lovely smell which will make you feel Christmassy
Gods have heard you..at least in Colombo pouring rain over 180mm..unheard of...at 10 am its like 8 pm outside..Sri Lanka cant be the hottest..ive been in middle east at 45 degrees ! now thats hot..right now in Colombo its 18c
BTW I love nice and warm places, but unfortunately, we live in an extremely cold place! Nowadays average outside temperature is around - 30, -35 😂! But 23rd we are traveling down to Southern California for a week 😊🎉

I live in South Florida (Hollywood), USA and was brought up in New England (Connecticut). We make the best of a subtropical Christmas, but it is not the same as a northern, snowy Christmas.
