Love these aircraft 👍🇺🇸 I learned in the older 269 A. And my all time fun machine, the Hughes 500. My all-time favourite helicopter in my career though was the BK 117 series. Rugged, dependable, roomy for all the EMS gear. The quietest aircraft was the AS 350 B2 series, and had a great heater/defroster/ and electric air conditioning system that was excellent 👍🇺🇸
Thanks for watching and for sharing your experience! I can only agree with your list, my all time favourite is the MD500 too! Big fan of the BK117 and AS350 too. Too bad, that the MD520, MD600, BK117 and so many of these iconic types are disappearing from Europe and the US. Great for New Zealand though who are importing most of them, I'm hoping I get to go to NZ one day to spot them!
I personally feel safer with the fully articulated rotor system on the 300 than the semi rigid system on the 22. They early 22s had quite a few problems mostly related to carb ice. The 44 had an AD about the delaminating of the stainless steel leading edge of the blade. The 300 was around since the 60s. The cb is carbureted and a bit under powered if its hot. The C has more power and can carry 3 people. You don't have to send them back to the factory for complete rebuilds after a certain number of years or hours. The 44 autorotates better and has a back seat. Its also quite a bit faster than the cb and even the C model 300.
You won't crash at 100 feet you only crash when you get to 0 feet. :). Its only a problem if you lose an engine when you are hovering at 100 feet. If you are at hovering 600 feet or if you have 60 mph you can safely auto rotate as long as you have a clear spot nearby.
Fantastic video my friend!
Thank you very much mate, glad you`ve enjoyed it! It`s been a while since I`ve seen a Schweizer!

I LOVE Schweizers. They serve their purpose.
Yeah they are great machines indeed, fun to fly!
@@LIONAV Robinson's are cool, but they're tricky to handle. They autorotate like a falling anvil.
@@danielcarlson7931 Is it better to autorotate with the Schweizer?
@@LIONAV Slower descent, from what I read.
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Your welcome 🤗
Beautiful bird, well flown. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment!
I don’t know why but I totally trust this old model way much more than a Robinson-22 or 44

The R22 and R44 are both Flying Death Trapes period. The H 296 and the H300 much safer Helis.
