Thank you for this! It's so hard for a noob like me to find the basics.

Never knew this. Posted this to the "I Love Propagation" group on Facebook. I think everyone needs to listen to what you have to say. So many of us did not know this! Thank you soooooooooooo much!

This is so helpful no wonder it doesn't help just dunking a thirsty succulent in water

High levels of dissolved oxygen promote healthy root growth. ... When there's less oxygen in the water than there is in the plant, this reduces the permeability of roots to water, therefore reducing (even reversing) the absorption of nutrients.
    In closing,
If you have a good schedule changing water daily, go with water,
    On the latter, pursue soil.

I have a stressed, dried out haworthia (cooperi, i guess), move it from soil to the water, and it gets better and looks happier real quick. It grows some water roots, on the tip of the soil roots. Will it be a problem to move it back to soil then?

Ah, thanks so much for this video!! Gosh, I feel kinda dumb now: so many of my water-rooted succulents died (or just stopped growing entirely for months) after potting, and I never even considered that organic tissue for handling water and for handling air/soil cannot be the same :'D
Will definitely try out the cup+wrap method for rooting, hopefully that'll make the babies happier 🤗

Too funny, I looked up a video to root exactly the plant you’re holding 😂

Hi Ashley! Thank you for sharing your experience on this matter! Could you tell me approximately how long it takes the roots (of leafy plants) to adapt to the soil? I ask 'cause I can keep the soil soggy while it adapts but wouldn't like to overwater it later when it is already adapted.
