Hi mate, done the Tain way in a day about 10 years ago and could barely walk by the end of it! It’s a long trek but I’ll be honest, I think this and your previous treks here will have captured the best bits of the Cooleys already. Saying that it’s cool to have ticked off a waymarked trail!
@@IrelandOutdoors mighty Gary, I’d say you where sore mate, I think it 40km, fair play for smashing that in one day. That’s my fear mate, and not sure it’s worth it but the trail seems well maintained, but I’d would be nice to tick it off.
Geoff, always good to get some sunshine☀ as the mist cleared. Never believe the weather apps😊 Plenty of wind and water underfoot. Cool to get some views over Carlingford Lough. I think I would have been huffing too if the tops cleared as I dropped off😊
@@gerrymcveigh Morning Gerry. There some tantrum thrown 😂, but I was slight disappointed when I turned around the clouds had move, that just means we have to go back again and not listen to the weather apps 😃. It’s that time of year again where everything is going to be swamped so I can’t complain I suppose. Cheers for clicking on 👍
Mate I love them conditions for hiking,. Got a habit of everything. I'm definitely checking them locations out . Video editing is really good mate well done .
@@jamesoutandaboutn.i227 definitely James, something about battling the elements. Worth a trip down mate, swampy under foot but that’s the fun of it. Thank you for the editing mention much appreciated 👍
Great hike, Geoff, had to get the maps out to see what you were doing! You did well to navigate your way in the clag and eventually got rewarded. 5 peaks in one walk in definitely a great achievement. Walk back looked good too, bit of everything. All the best, Ashley
@@ashleyjarnold morning Ashley, yea unfortunately not much views and difficult to navigate especially when unsure about the route. Luckily enough the peaks near run onto each other and not that much difference in hight. The Tain way seems to be very well kept and easy going, that’s twice we’ve been on and well impressed by it. All the best at the park run this weekend 👍. Thank you for watching
@@ashleyjarnold I’ve just seen a small video on Instagram from that run on Friday, there seemed to be a very good crowd doing it. Slow and steady wins the race 👍
@@cowalexplorer that wind was bad just whipping up through the crags on the summits. Yea it’s definitely blew it away just in time for us coming off the mountain 😂 😂
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors ha, that’s the way. Claggy summits till you get back down, then blue skies. Always happens to me no matter what time of day I go 😂
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors I haven’t been up for a while but my next trip up there mate would be to look for Game of Thrones locations particularly if you followed the series. Otherwise anywhere up Sallagh Braes.
How good is the Tain Way to walk on, thinking of doing the full trail, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nice one Geoff. The return of the Claggggg 😂
@@alanlyness8413 Thank you Alan, I know you love the clagggg 😂. Not much views on the Cooleys but seen the Mournes as clear as day on the descent.
Good one guys that's one of my favorites mountains there. Always a good hike 👌

Friday evening, pizza on the plate, beer in the glass, Geoff greenaway and his ginger brother on the box. Love it.
@@wayne-hanna hahahaha get in there mate. Hope to back out in the tents soon enough. You anything planned or coming up?
Laughing at Stevies dummy out of the pram walk due to cloud cover 😂

@@Hikingjoe383 cheers Joe. Not much views but you have to take the rough with the smooth 👍
Class video Geoff, even though it was clagged in, it made for some real moody footage!

Some shift that. Good to see some partial views once the clagg had moved - the wind might have shifted it. 😂
