There’s something unsettingly poignant about ending an album all about female empowerment and Simbi’s journey out of introversion on a rather bitter note about a fallout between two sisters. It makes this song so powerful for me. Simbi has guided us through this journey where she proclaims her prowess, and yet snaps us back to the harsh reality of the world which doesn’t mould to her; an imperfect world she has to settle with. This song so beautifully bookends the album and is such a stark comtrast to the first song. It’s pure fucking genius as well.
@@lionheart4529 wtf haha why you getting mad at someone giving praise to an artist...... and also if she didn't want publicity she wouldn't be constantly advertising herself..... your comment lacks any valid point, could of atleast expand on your view of the "industry" you seem to knw so much about
@@AndreiBerezin why insult other black artists? Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, kanye west and now little simz. Si much influence in the music industry. I know kanye has his shit but he still is one of the greatest producers of rap history, should have respect
2:44 my favorite part at all. also, this is my favorite album of the year so far. so elegant, introspective, orchestral, powerful, roaring, soulful and pure african royalty. i'm ready to fall in love so slowly with this proyect.
Yeah that part is sooo beautiful and kinda sad. It's like a fantasy a dream reality where they're still on good terms. I really hope her and her sister make up.
@@emmaxuelhemmero2-past626 donda was really good but this album was leagues ahead. If kanyes lyrics were more focused and he condensed the tracklist then maybe.
This song means so much to me, I need to talk about it, even if no one sees this. If I had to describe this song in one word, it would be "human." How Did You Get Here feels like the closer to the album, it's got a clear story that simply describes how Simz got to the point she is at now. This song though... Is like a reflection on what just happened. The album up until this point sounds grandiose and Simz is empowering women all over the world with her words. The words are influential and optimistic, she describes how women can be whatever they want and talks about her journey in getting over her introverted behavior. With all this hope given in the first 18 tracks, this one comes in to balance it all out. This song makes the whole album make perfect sense. The story we got before was amazing, vivid, and one where everything goes well. All that said though, this song brings in reality and reminds Simz and the listener of the harsh truths of life. Even though you can do anything you set your mind to, life is life, it won't always be easy or make total sense. This singular track balances out with the other 18, really shows how important this song is to the album. This song is honest and vulnerable, and the instrumentation is incredibly fitting. Seriously one of the most impressive songs I've ever heard, and the most "human" song I've ever heard.
Simz really came through with one of the most excellent, soulful albums of the year! I sincerely hope she gets even more recognition for her incredible work.
This is one incredible and ambitious release full of excellent songs about gaining self-confidence, dealing with the absence of a parent, surviving one's childhood, and a bunch of other things. Really good, and a pretty awesome hip-hop release.
Yau I found you at 2014 on SoundCloud 🤙🏼 sometimes I go check out old songs and look what this people do today. Still great music! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
America female hip hop rapper the crown now reside in North London and part Queen Simz is Lady Enny. This is coming from an old head from the beginning. I love her like a proud father. Salute.
More than an album, a movie. And the last album is another best album of all time . Glad I'm alive to witness such legendary super greatness. Gos bless u Simbi 💖
I like when artists have their own underground lane. I also like when artists like this get high praise but im gonna appreciate where it is now! Definitely should have a fuck more ton of views
Was looking for her because of one of her song I heard in a radio a few days ago. But fortunately, I finally found her! I literally fell in love with her music. Hope to see more in the future!
I love hearing your thoughts Lil Simz, you put feelings into words so perfectly. The effect it has on me is wholesome! Thank you for sharing your gift❤ you are helping me and many other women and people who feep down in the dirt❤❤❤
Loyle Carner was a guest at Machiavelli Sessions and performed "Georgetown" together with german rapper Ansu and an entire Orchestra! We are thrilled how well they sound together. 🔥 You can find the whole session on our channel. ⤴

She is sooo underrated and she deserves countless Grammys. This album is stellar. Thank you, Simz!!!!!
Without a doubt one the best artist of our time ❤
Grammys dont deserve her. The most powerful woman. Kanye Wests are just dirt on her boots
F’k the industry and you for making this comment and trying to get her hella publicity.

It’s songs, albums, and artists like this that makes me hate how society decides what is and isn’t mainstream. This is a 10/10 project.
I played this song a least 100 times a day it’s so good she is special
I cried and listened to this again to cry some more 🙌 nothing’s better than free therapy.
