I hate to play the “under appreciated card,” but man it is really a crime that more people haven’t heard her music yet. She is undisputedly one of the best artists of our generation. I will be sharing this album all year long.
@@danielburgess7101 yup, I hadn’t heard it until last year and was immediately shocked that there wasn’t more media coverage in the US?! Easily one of the best albums in the last 10 years and it someone slipped under the radar except for her home country.

Actually the rap/hiphop scene in England has been the best on earth for at least the past 10-20 years, MF Doom anyone?? unfortunately Americans weren’t exposed to much more than that until quite recently. The countless, painfully mediocre artists who get famous in the US/Canada base everything down to their literal rapping style on British artists & rarely ever mention those particular influences much less give them any credit. For a great example, please look up/listen to Lady Leshurr, the mostly unknown young woman whose style Cardi B shamelessly ripped off, and you will understand how bad it is.
"I love you, I hate you" puts all the conflicted feelings of fatherlessness into perspective. Gotta forgive, but do it on your terms. Love her for digging down into her pain to show us her strength and resiliency.
You can feel the NIGERIAN CONNECTION right there when OBONGJAYAR came in with that WEST AFRICAN DISCO SOUND. If my dad was alive, he will be vibing with y'all on this one. Proud Of Y'all.

I am 55 years old and I have loved music since I was a child. I grew up in the rock era. Now I'm listening to this concert and I can say that it is a piece of excellent music. In this boring and secondary world of music, this music is like a sunrise over a dark valley.
The production value in this is actually insane. So is the musicianship. And let's not forget Simz with the microphone technique from heaven - zero breaths was recorded that day! VIBES GALORE!
Tonight's my first time hearing Little Simz's music and it has actually brought tears to my eyes. The beauty of this performance. This woman, these musicians, the whole aesthetic.... I'm at a loss for words. It's been ages since I've had goosebumps like these listening to a new artist.
The album was crazy enough. This performance has immaculate energy. Every part of it is perfectly in sync. Even the camera is on it all of the time. There is so much more than meets the eye with this performance. It manages to look so chill and inviting, like everyone is just relaxing. But in reality it is meticulously coordinated. I also found myself tearing up. Not only did it sound beautiful, but everything about this performance and the way it was captured are perfect. It's a diamond. The whole time I was watching, I felt like I had this impossible gift.

Amazing actor, incredible writer - UKs hip hop/neosoul/modern jazz scene is insane. "If you can't feel pain, then you can't feel the opposite" a realization that always gives me solace. No light without dark. Sides of a coin. Beautiful performance
Introvert is the rare song where I prefer the studio version to the Tiny Desk, but that’s only because the studio version is absolute perfection. Simz is an absolute beast and I can’t wait for the album!

Hearing live, the intricacies of each element of her music. The instruments, the back ups re-enforcing the beats, Simz breath control and annunciation and how they heal Simbi up. Truly the future of Hip Hop ❤️🙏
Someone tweeted that she’s one of the best woman rappers of our time and honestly they were right!
