Yeah Pixie on their last turn could have put medium tank on the HQ, no way it dies with 4* defense against bomber + something else. I was thinking that's what Pixie was going to do since it was in range and knew about the bomber, but they pulled the medium tank to the right for some reason.
Rize is always a fun player to play against and watch! He plays almost exclusively on mobile with the slowest internet of all time, and usually has fun with off meta oddball strategies.
This is like pummeling the opponent every round in boxing and just exposing your chin out of cockiness for an easy KO. That blue MD tank placement, like he put his hands behind his back.

Nightmare of Heiankyou is a spellcard reference towards the Touhou franchise. Not even gonna bother explaining cause the reference is niche and so deep, but it sure is not NSFW. This map though, wow. Looks like a child who is aspired to make maps made it but sure is so nuanced and unexpectedly functional despite how sparse and barren it is.

I think this map could do with an alterative version with blackboats and a harbor or two. So many shoal tiles could lead to a lot of interesting plays, especially for sami with her increased movement on transports
@roberthansen5727 i mean a blackboat to start with, and the port is passive to the point it is irrellivent. Sure, people could build a blackboat on it, but an apc and tcopter are cheaper and built closer to the action. No point building a battleship or carrier. A starting blackboat would get a lot of utility and make this map far more dynamic, and a poet nearer the front lines would allow for the deployment of an aggressive battleship/carrier. The whole dynamic of the map would change by swapping the port with one of the more centralised cities, and having a blackboat ferrying infantry feom the get go. I would love to see the statistics, but i suspect that if that port was replaced with a city then there would be practically no difference to the builds and general playstyle of the map.
He does have vision. Moving his units away and losing vision + having available units to provide vision that he intentionally not use to do so does not qualify as "not having vision".
16:00 Day 12 Mangs infantry spotted from blue, could cap the neutral city next to com tower but tries to go for a red property instead in front of enemy troops. Honorable mention for the mangs infantry in the bottom right corner too trying to cap a city in front of enemy on a mountain
Even without the cheesy HQ capture, the victory march would have meant a comm tower + 2 cities captured, plus most of the forces attacking Sami's HQ cleared anyways (2 mechs for 8 and 5 hp tanks, artillery + infantry for stopping HQ capture). So I don't think Sami was really doing that bad tbh
I hate this map. I absolutely despise it. It looks ugly, it is confusing and it is wide open. No mountains, no chokepoints, can become stally... This map suck I wish this map explode and go to the bottom of hell and stay there Now about the game, I was absolutely not expecting that. My congratulations to the Sami player. I like Sami, I feel like you need better skills to play her than you need with the others. I was rooting for Sami. This video was very interesting and fun as always. Thanks deejus!

Thing about facing Sami is you need to spend about 20K defending your HQ at all times, never know when a 1hp forest inf. will ruin your day.
