We had VERY few spider lilies bloom all across the region this year. Our only conclusion is that last year’s sudden hard freeze (which prematurely caused the foliage to die back in late December) followed by a very long hot dry spell this summer caused them to skip this year’s bloom. It’s an interesting sensitive response to the weather, because like you, ours have healthy foliage this year and seem to be doing well but with few blooms this fall.

Red spider lilies did not bloom this fall in our neighborhood, they're alive because they have really good green leaves growing. Is there a reason?
