This design is amazing! My brain has a hard time with this process so I really appreciate the extra time taken to explain each line!

That’s beautiful Cathy! I want to make a barn quilt for our Barndo we built to jazz it up a bit. I love sunflowers! Our building is quite big so I’m thinking 4’ x 4’. Might be too ambitious for my 1st project 😂

Another amazing tutorial. I really would love to know how you prevent ridges along the tape lines. Maybe I am using too much paint. Any suggestions

That is exactly what causes ridges. Too much paint. Be sure to use extremely thin coats of paint. It is better to need to put extra coats on rather than one or two thick coats.

I have watched this several times before I understood it but have one question. Where did you get the math to have your shorter lines 20” when you dropped from 24” lines? I would like to scale mine back to a mailbox BQ on a 12”x12” board with a border. Truly appreciate your videos.

I would just cut the numbers in half. Since 12 is one half of 24, then I would cut the 20” line in half and use 10. I hope that makes sense.

Yes completely. That is what I was thinking.

What kind of paints do you use and type of sealer? I love your work...

I always use Valspar Season Flex exterior semi gloss and Water based Satin finish sealer. I show it in video number 50
