Hello. I just tried my very first barn quilt and the acrylic paint peeled off. It did not adhere to the wood. I was using Liquitex Basic. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi Betty. If you look at this pattern square on instead of on the point, you should have no trouble graphing your own. Once you look at it square on you'll notice it's a 9 patch pattern. You have three rows across x three rows dow. In each row you have three "blocks". Each block is painted in half or thirds to make the desired pattern. I hope this helps.
Wow, the barn quilt gave that shed some serious pizazz!
Thanks for watching!
Nice barn quilt. Looks really pretty.
Wow. This one is gorgeous! I love the design.
We picked it because we thought it looked like a flower!
What about priming?
What grade of plywood is this?

It looks like they just used a carpenters pencil.

Do you not have to prime your plywood?
They did not in this video, but you might have to given the type of paint that you're using.

you need to use outdoor paint.
Use outdoor paint and our garden quilt was sealed with a wood sealer, something like Thompson's Water Seal, to keep out moisture.
What is the pattern called?
I am trying to graph this pattern out, do you have the graph I could follow to make this star? I keep trying to figure it out, but haven't so far
