    Those of you who question this, listen up. I went there and I treasure my moments and the fact I have a 4 year college degree without having to pay back $160,000 or more. Yes, there were rules and yes it was a lot of hard work but it was rewarding. I'm glad I didn't go to a party school. I appreciate what I learned there and I hope that my children get a chance to go there as well in 15 years. Class of 2006 proud!!

    It's a college with strict rules, my dudes. It's not something you can blow off and get your degree, you actually gotta work hard. That's even their message, "work hard". If you work hard, they reward you for it.

    Back in the 50’s at SMU, you would work for 8 weeks and switch off with another student and he’d work for 8 weeks while you went to class, so there was a repeat cycle to the teaching. Graduate with no debt as you worked your way through and had experience when graduating. They should go back to something like this so students could build more charachter.and experience.

    I went to c of o, in debt 20,000 dollars due to room and board. They wont let you live off campus either unless you are married or in military. Plus the rules are outrageous. And they kick people out for absolutely no reason at all sometimes

    • @jumpbox92
      @jumpbox92 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      you're high. room and board is 1000 a semester, did you attend for 10 years?! you can work off your room and board by working more hours, and they dont kick people out for no reason. If you have S#####y grades, party, drink....go somewhere else; its not that type of a school. moron.

      @@jumpbox92 ... Room and board is $7,900 annually when paying out of pocket and raises constantly (I believe it's set to rise again in the coming year). It is more than believable that someone who repeatedly missed out on the Summer Work Program over their typical four year stay might end up heavily indebted to the college. What is the matter with you?

    It isn't "free". You work for minimum wage at a campus job and your tuition is credited with your "paycheck". Here's the catch...….most of the campus jobs would pay more than minimum wage out in the real world....so students are basically losing money earning potential from their campus job.

    • @jessmabe7376

      Rainbow Room At least the students can avoid interest on their students loan debt.

      "..so students are basically losing money earning potential from their campus job.." I get that you would be working on the cheap, and that isn't fair. But how that equates to "losing money earning potential" seems is a leap of logic.
