I have yet to see a video with specific pictures and instructions on what they look like dormant and what exactly to do with them while they are dormant. Please do that if you can. I know we would all appreciate it 😊 and thank you
Larissa, you are so knowledgeable and so good at explaining! Please, continue your channel if you can (I understand it's a big commitment to get it going, but I hope you will return )
I have converted all my alocasias to Leca because of my tendency to overwater. Recently I moved a black stem zebrinia from under a grow light to a pot with water reservoir in front of a south facing window and within 3 days the plant started to droop and look very sick, I checked the roots and there was no signs of rot or pets so i've concluded it must just be that the pot was too tight to the inner pot of Leca and starving the roots of oxygen. bad oxygenation for the roots seems to cause more problems to my alocasias than any other issue. Hoping to see it bounce back now that i've reverted to its original conditions but its well worth considering this with any Aroid or semi hydro plant imo.
Loved your video, really helped me understand what I can do better to stop the drooping. Do you water your alocasia frydek with tap water or distilled?
Loved this video. I think the plants is beautiful but it id defo giving me some issues hahahahaha . I have 28 plants in my flat, and the Alocasia is the only problematic one. I am more confident now, that with your advices I will manage to properly and better look after her. Thank you very much love ❤🥰
Ok, I need your help. I have a few types but my normal plane jane version is constantly drooping like the stems are rubber. The stems are long of course, it gets constant light above the crown of the plant so should be facing upwards. It is always happy and pushes out growth but always droops! What can I do?
@@Crypto2638 Yes I do in fact. I use a mixture of orchid bark, perlite/pumice, cactus soil and worm castings. I do not understand why this is happening. there are so many stems that do not have to search for constant light but are just bent over. I wish I could sen d you a pic
Hey there I just received my frydek and the leaves are droopy should I be worried it was shipped so I’m not sure if it’s just stressed ?? Can you help me !! 💖💖💖💖
Thank You Very Much Ma'am! I just got the Black Stem Alocasia Borneo King Alocasia Thai Giant Colocasia It took 4 days for them to arrive. (Yesterday) They look healthy and beautiful. I have a question. Today, I am looking at them, and all 3, have curling tips. (downward like a finger bends) The tips look like your Alocasia in the video. Is that normal Ma'am? I am a cactus guy, and this is my first ever actual plant. They are getting a healthy amount of direct sun, and when the sun isn't touching them, they get an amazing amount of indirect light. I was just curious. Thank you for your time Ma'am. 😊
I have a plant (don't know the name) that I'm making spiral... Hehehe She searches for the light, I turn her now and then and she is growing all curved. Is this wrong? Hahaha
Thank you 🙏🏻🤍 my alocasia zebrina bought in march has been growing a lot, now is all droopy! Sun shined through my window during the warmest months, now in winter the sun is so low it doesn’t anymore, should I move it to a brighter room? Thank you 🙏🏻🤍🔆

Hi, do you have a nice airy mix? I can recommend Perlite, Bark and some soil if you don’t have it already
