Can't wait until 2am. Am really looking forward to it.
Looks like the Weeks 533 was pulling in the Dali's port anchor chain & anchor, as its winch was buggered by the bridge abutment landing on it.
@@WhiteWolf65 Yes You are so right. The 533 was pulling up the Dila's Port anker up off the bottom.
@@MarkORoth-fu2cy Port Anker? when did they use portable batteries to stop the ship? (its anchor)
Another productive day at the site!
All tuned in! 🤠👍
Super cool Andy! Your coverage has been AWESOME!!
It's an incredible amount of coordination.
awesome as always, thank you!
Thanks again!
Thank you! ❤ I'll be watching at 11 pm tonight, BC Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks Captain Andy! Love these videos. Doing a great job covering this.
Glad you like them!
Thank you, Captain Andy, for the informative streams and hats off to you and your behind-the-scenes crew who make the channel possible. Stay safe, and here's to the rest of the salvage operations going safely, and everyone getting home in one piece.
Much appreciated and Thank you!
👍 *I really appreciate your daily summaries,* since most of us cannot watch the entire livestream.
👍 *But I also appreciate the livestreams as well:* We can tune in when we are able, so we can take a quick look for a couple of minutes and see how things are going. (I definitely plan on looking in at random times tomorrow morning.)
And TH-cam allows us to rewind even during livestreams, so if I miss the beginning of the event, I can just scroll back and watch it anyway!)
Thanks 🙏 🙂
Glad you like them!
I hit the wrong button! I meant to add that you have an amazing channel, my comment was only intended to make it superb.
No worries!
Thank you Sir for both this 4K video and for the information regarding tomorrow. I wouldn't miss it!
YOUR AUDIO IS GOOD HERE
Great news Andy. Hope all goes well with the move. Can't wait to see.
Thanks, Captain Andy.
Very welcome
Thanks for your dedication to keeping us informed. I have been following the salvage daily from Utah.
I appreciate that
Thanks for your updates and all those involved. So appreciative and hoping for the best.
MM is on it !
You are so welcome
You got some very good picture's of the Orster Bay hard at work. And Sir Ed cutting away.
Thanks 👍
Glad to see your posts. Sal give out your information a few months ago and I’ve been following you pretty much ever since! Glad I am and I really appreciate all you’re doing. Especially for some knucklehead like me that’s pretty clueless about shipping etc.
Awesome! Thank you!
Even at a very overcast day. The video is really Good. Especially when You are coming from a 1½ miles away.
Great coverage 🏴
Bless yo7 for staying & shar8n big hugs
Thanks for all your work during this ongoing event!
Thanks!
Thanks so much!!!!
Sound is great. Thanks for the heads up on timing of moving the ship. I hope to be there but if not I will catch the copy when I wake up.
Please do!
Best stream anywhere on the internet! Thank you so much.
Wow, thank you!
You might want to change the year in your intro from 2021 to 2024
He's talking about when they left port 3 years ago, get with the program 😅😅😅
@@galewinds7696 It sure seems like it!
I don't see any VB 10 000 if it's 2021 just kidding 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Andy great no frills coverage like always keep up the great footage
Thanks Captain Andy. No frills or hyped drama, just matter of fact moment.
Thanks for the coverage.
Our pleasure!
It’s fascinating to watch, especially the fast forward videos!
Glad you think so!
I’m sure the crew is ready for some liberty, hope and pray everything goes well !!!
Their visas have expired so they can't enter the US but must remain aboard ship for the time being.
Thanks! Appreciate your efforts the last couple of years!
Much appreciated! Thank you!!
ill be there watching in the morning
Pretty amazing to be able to watch this event. Good luck to all involved!
Fingers crossed!
It's really something to see when You got the video speeded up.
Rest up Capt!!!
A lot of us want to see you, Sal, and Cheif Makoi together.
That would be awesome
Great video nice to see the little crane bobbing as it try to lift something and the shear grab working on the barge such a huge job these guys are busy at yes hope you get some good footage of the ship being moved Thanks
I was out all day nice to get the update
Thanks for sharing your time and energy for our entertainment
You bet
Great Vid 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎯🎯🎯🎯
Thanks 👍
Thank you !
You're welcome!
Great work guys. One thing. Love that pollution in the background..
Steam condenser.
Timing is _EVERYTHING_ ! Thank you MM ! High-tide 5:24am ( *2:24am* Pacific Daylight Time)
I'll see if I can catch you at *11pm* Pacific Daylight Time... then 3 hours later at 5:24am high-tide.
You are coordinating our viewing schedules !
Hopefully they clear cut-away the starboard side large steel truss piers from the Key Bridge smashed into the starboard bow !!
Those truss piers looked very difficult since they cut into the Dali starboard deck _deeply_ pinning Dali down to seabed.
Thank you !
Looks like the Weeks 533 was pulling up the anchor chain.
Okay, I figured they would wait for High Tide. Just makes sense. Hope it all goes well. I will be asleep :)
Fingers crossed!
Adding that the ship won't be moving until appx. 5:30 AM, all prep work in the dark prior to that and plan to be watching parts of it...
I Pray that everything goes smoothly and safely. Thanks for everything. God Bless All.
Thanks so much
Sorry, I'm not getting up at 2 am to watch that. I'll look in on you later.
So the ship that crashed in the nighttime is going to be moved in the dark early morning. What could go wrong?
I believe it is 2024 not 2021.
I'm surprised they want to do it in the dark.
Just a thought, Cap'n Andy, to help with your audio balance of your audio and the marine radio: use another laptop/tablet/mobile phone to access the internet - you will hear what we, on the internet, are hearing.
The only thing you will need to watch is latency - the time taken to digitise, put your video on the internet, take it off the internet and get video/audio back from your tablet... you will only need to do this when you initially set up.
Wow. You guys are piling the work up on me
Yay ⚓
This would be awesome if Dali moves out tomorrow morning
I’ll be here!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Brandon Shores power plant unit 2 is running.
Captain Andy, I don't think night time viewing is going to be easy, because of the many Flood lights shining right in to the camera. But, I would rather you be there for the Biggest event to take place, and that's to see Dali Get Refloated and then moved, but being that early in the morning is when most of us people would be sleeping unless they keep up with the news of the Ship's movement. Also I'm aware that you will need to take some long naps, in order to function out there that late. I will visit you then. Thanks Minorcan Andy. Oh, and I will not comment in the chat, due to how fast it moves, and making it hard to keep up with certain viewers. So I will wait and see when I will comment. Terry
Never run from a challenge. Learn from them
👍👍👍👍👍
The crane dance of power!
2 PM here at mango farm Thailand. Hope that schedule works
At 88mph everything starts going back in time.
Are they going to be able to refloat it with the big pieces of road still on it? Isn't that extra weight?
Yes, the roadway sections will remain during the move
@cindywiech2675 Ah ok, I just figured they would take it off as well. Appreciate it.
The Craw appears to be broken. 533 has the anchor and chain. Cpt. Andy, see you at zero dark 30.
Gus was fixed and came back to work around 5 PM, saw on the other stream.
Did the claw break today? Gus looked broke when Chessie moved off camera.
One of those claws isn't situated like the others.
@OneWildTurkey Gus was fixed and came back to work around 5 PM, saw on the other stream
@@jimarndt8158 Thanks
Gus was repaired and Chessie got one final lift to end the day!
Good news!
Sound OK. Kayakers prohibited!
Floating Crime Scene
Yes. She's afloat already. It's still a floating Crime Scene
I hope it won’t be top-heavy with all those containers on it and no ballast when the tide comes it.
Will there be fireworks at the inner harbor at the dawn's early light? I used to live there and miss the celebrations :)
Is that likely given that people lost their lives here?
Memorial Day is next weekend
@@gaynorprice-jones1826 I'm just being silly and yes, it is appropriate to celebrate getting the channel re-opened in spite of the original tragedy. The workers have already been recovered and honored. Lighten up!
@@curiouscat3384 You are being rude to me? At least I was thinking about the families who have lost loved one, I doubt they would find you amusing.
@@gaynorprice-jones1826 It looks the other way around from outside the arena.
You’ve got fantastic coverage! I’m curious what will happen with the Dali? Is there a shipyard in Baltimore that can make repairs, temporary or otherwise, to the ship?
Not that I know of. More than likely temporary repairs will be made and she will head to a repair yard
Hey your date is wrong on your opening dialog it says May 19,2021 !!! Your 3
Years off on the years date .. it’s a minor error but just letting you know !! I’m sure you caught it !! Lol great content and beautiful picture quality as well I have some bad eyesight but with your quality of video being in the best definition it’s like being there !!! Thank you for that I’m not squinting all the time ..
Thanks for that
High tide is just about sunrise tomorrow morning. It is the higher of the high tides tomorrow.
it's good audio
I should know by now, but is that the Meeks-533 with the cables pulling on something at an angle? All the smaller cranes are busy as a bee.
❤
What direction is the tide going?
Good golly miss molly there moving the Dali
Why are the tug boats going back and forth? Are they unloading the Dali so they can move it?
Where they moving it to?
the Dali is not in view, just various barges and cranes, and those smokestacks in the background.... but no Dali, stern nor bow.
That stuff on the right of the screen is the bow
3:50 theres something wrong with the Claw
One of its jaws isnt full open.
I haven't been watching non-stop. Does anyone know if they determined no need to remove the tarmac from the bow before moving it?
My impression is they were concerned moving the roadway off the ship before they tow it to port for repairs would create too many unpredictable variables, and getting it removed after it is in port for a damage assessment is the safer way to proceed, but civil engineers and mechanical engineers please speak up and say more.
It will be moved with the roadway still on the bow…
...are you going to film more of the clean-up and reconstruction now that the Dali has move? 5/21/24
Hope to be able to get some of it!
12 O'Clock High!
@mullet thought you was headed back Cajon Country today
Hoping to see the ship move. Had to modify my plans
@@MinorcanMullet totally! man. !me too
I hope you're able to get some rest today/tonight as we don't want you to fall asleep at 5am. :) See you in the AM!
I hope so too!
i would have thought they would have taken the cargo off by now to lighten the load. but what do i know.
They took many cargo containers off the bow…it will be faster to remove them once in port. No reason to move them until they move the ship back to port.
Crime scene evidence. Best to keep it all together.
See you tomorrow
2021??
i still say that Evil Kennvil could jump off the ramp to the other side on his Harley ..lol
Not any more he died in 2007.
Who ?
@@michaelashley2855 you
Has power been restored to the ships engines yet?
That’s 3am for us in our Colorado.
12AM
Does the Ballast water just get dumped into the Channel or since it my be contaminated will have to placed on Barges?
No I believe I heard it will get pumped to a barge
@@cindywiech2675 Someone just said it gets pumped to the stern where the Brackish water goes through a series of filters, then pumped out to the channel
Wow ok, well get some sleep there!!! Thank you and see ya later. :)
😴
What will happen with the Dali? Will it be repaired in Baltimore will it ever be sea worry again or is the Dali going to be scrapped?
The date stamp in your video said 2021 instead of 2024, an easy mistake to make.
If Dali gets moved all crew members need to be jailed for life, We lost 6 people killed they Not getting away with Murder
Wbal11 news at 11pm said 5am.
did we time travel to May 19th 2021? lol 🙂
