Where would have Hakeem had gone if the Rockets were not able to pull of the deal? I only have a couple of places in mind.
Phoenix: The Suns needed a dominant big man to pair up with their jump/3 point shooters Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle, Danny Ainge, Richard Dumas, and Cedrick Ceballos.
Portland: Hakeem probably decides that he wants to pair up with Clyde Drexler. He is also paired up with a front court of Buck Williams and Clifford Robinson/Kevin Duckworth.
I'm not sure about the Suns. They already signed Charles Barkley that season and he won the MVP. Portland might've been better. Then there's Utah.
