This one does not have CVT :) it is just regular 6 speed automatic gearbox. The CVT is within the Hybrid models. And they do not even get closer to this. CVTs have very unpleasant sound :)
U are right! What an idiot, this guy has no idea what gearbox his car has after all the mods he has done to it? Its a 6 speed auto u can hear it changing the gears

The one in the video makes about 70 more horsepower than his old one stock for stock. .. That's why late in the video he says 'the difference' between that one and his is the passing ability, torque, etc.. .. .. something along those lines.
Fuel economy: (city/highway) 11.7/8.3Litres/100km average from my 2007 GS430 - with light foot use. Dynamic driving add 20%.
About to buy a white 2007 GS300 in the coming months. Plan on putting 20 inch concave 5 star wheels with coilovers, tint the windows, and install a 10.2 inch telsa style head unit from Phoenix. That's it. People sleep on these cars. Cheap as shit, way ahead of its time, and will never let you down. Plus easy and very cheap to fix if anything goes wrong. Currently driving a MK2 GS300. Never had a problem with it in 8 years and the car is 18 years old.
why even buy a luxury car from that era just to ruin it with a giant tablet in?
I’ve just got a low mileage, 2 owner, GS300. Really happy with it. Got a set of BC Racing coil overs on order. The 3L v6 has 250bhp. If the v8 has less than 300 then the v6 makes a lot of sense.

I took off the racing cats because I got reffed. Still sounds good though with the resonator delete connected to a HKS axle-back. I’m on tanabe DF210s but the stock shocks are shot, so the plan really is to install air suspension later on. Getting offers but I don’t think I would wanna let go because it’s comfy for a daily driver. It also gives enough punch from the 4.3L to make smile.
Really looking at these even now. Little bit of a project to upgrade but also reliabilty for my job.

at 10:20 that's when i knew Jamie does not know his cars that well the only GS model with CVT gearbox for this generation was the GS450h...
the GS300 and GS430 where all 6 speed standard automatic gearbox.
430s came with 8speed auto. 350s with 6speed.
fj717 460s were 8 speed. 430 was 6 speed.
Didn’t know this one had the cooling seats too. Got a 2014 GS350, but if you buy the 3rd gen and update the wheels, sound system (if previously abused), lip/bumper, and clean the headlights, it’s as good as new! With a bit of effort this is a great car for the low. The v8 is as fast as the newer v6 too but v6 gets around 25mpg. New one also gets lane assist but if you don’t want that buy older
Might be the same but torque and top end makes up for that as well as the V8 sound
@@marlonbaird6070 idk, the v6 is lighter. V8 feels different but is heavier. Performance is about an even trade off and neither are true sports cars. Upgrade the exhaust on the v6 and it sounds like a v8. It’s as throaty as a GT mustang. Listen to like a Lotus Evora which basically has the same v6 with sporty exhaust (tuned, and supercharged too). V8 sounds like an American muscle car but a good 6 cylinder sounds like F1. I’ve had a 5.0 v8 and I’d still take a high performance v6 sound over it as that race car sound climbs and the v8 is so consistent, the noise can get boring to live with as it sounds the same even when you push it. In short, if they were singers, v8 has bass and vibrato but v6 has range. Personal preference

I just installed a revel catback onto my 3rd gen GS350, It sounds a little to quite for me so I was planning to take it in the shop and replace the stock resonator with a 1792 aftermarket resonator. If this doesnt get the sound I am shooting for I may get a muffler delete on top, any tips

Thing is. You had that Lexus for a while. You could of easily done this to yours, but you didn't. I don't think you have the ability/vision or the foresight to modify a car properly.

I agree!! I had the '06 300 and someone totalled it while it was parked. I replaced it with an '06 430.. NIGHT AND DAY! I didn't know what I was missing before.
GS430, GS460, GS450h, all absolute bargains the quickest is the hybrid

Be warned buying second hand lpg vehicles most of them have crap Italian systems that go wrong and you can’t get the bits for anymore depending how old the system is of course, the gas system should be serviced so check to see when it was last done by a specialist.
Ismail Farooq you can see this car is well looked after but a lot aren’t and you don’t want lpg repair bills trust me.

I had the 06 version of the same car in the exact same colors; interior and exterior. Kinda a shame it got totaled but also I'm kinda lucky since I wasn't at fault and was trying to sell it at the time and insurance paid out better than any buyer probably would. Thanks for the blast from the past!

Unfortunately the GS460 has more power and has a timing chain. GS430 has a timing belt not designed for serious power

LPG conversions make a car’s MPG worse not better, you make the saving of the forecourt as the price of LPG is significantly lower than petrol. Please stop making things up
Thats right, it will have increased mpg on lpg a bit but the price of lpg is much lower than petrol.

CVT was only in GS450h.
But people are writing in adverts CVT coz they are sometimes behaving like that.
The best one in the series is the gs350, it's good fuel economy still has 300hp and it's quicker in the ¼ if you want a v8 get the 460

The Satnav being outdated isn't an issue because you can still get updated third party discs for the 3rd gen GS, I got a full 2017 Europe set (north/east/west/central) before Xmas.

It's not a cvt. The cvt is on the hybrid

propane gas fuel bottle and injectors and computer, switch between benzine and propane, propane is cheaper, the car should have less power, but that was in the past, as now they are making the propane installations to give the same power like when running on benzine

What's difference between Lexus GS300,GS350 and GS430 they all look the exact same.
GS300 V6 245bhp
GS350 V6 305 bhp US only
GS 430 V8 290 bhp
GS 460 V8 340
FYI that definitely not 2005 Thats's either a 2006 or 07. The 2005 is the older body style. In2008 they went to a GS460.
Definitely is 05. UK market so started in 2005. We can tell the age of a car just by the number plate

How does the performance compare with your old 300 and the 430? I had a Mk2 GS430 and whilst it went pretty well, the performance difference between the V6 300 and 430 is a lot closer on paper with the Mk3's - and there are many more 300's about than 430's! Thanks for making me want another Lexus-barge!! D'oh.

@@brandobee2264 lol naw this guy I got it from was a goofball , he thought since his approaching 200,000 miles the car was about to die cuz it's a foreign , he didnt even know a Lexus was a Toyota, and when the GS300 get around 200,000 miles the solenoids in the transmission act funny but cost $200 to replace, I convinced them that his transmission was about to die , so I kept going lower on the price 😂

If you want a quick, reliable and reasonably economical Lexus GS, buy the 350. If you want a V8, buy the 460. I wouldn't touch the 430. It has less power than the 350, a tad more torque but in everyday driving that won't satisfy speed demons. The 430 is also run by a timing belt instead of a timing chain like the 350 and 460. I have a 460 and if I see a 430, I laugh at them.
Also, did he imply the GS 430 has a CVT? It has a 6-speed automatic from AISIN. The CVT is in the 450h only.

There’s one on eBay now for 3.5, LPG already installed. The owner says 45 to fill up and 300 miles range. Not bad

The 400s are the best because of the V8 they put in it
LPG? ??...When you can have a 3.0 or the 3.5 Hybrid ..which is almost as powerful but far more economical. .get some proper exhaust on the v6 for a Better sound...LPG is Lame😥 considering the 3.0 gives 35-40mpg..

I don't get the point of lowering cars. It ruins its daily-use usability, speed bumps, parking on curbs, can't go on unpaved approach roads and, personally, looks pretty dumb.
