Hello dear friend, here in Argentina we are fans of this car, we have almost half a million cars sold, I know how to speak a little English, haha, I would love to translate this video and show it to my followers, I am sure that many people will follow your channel too, thank you very much!
My first car was a Falcon Futura with a 289 engine. My Falcon had duel exhaust and headers. It was a pretty fast little car! I really like the Falcon you worked on in the video. It is in pretty good shape and is complete!
I love old Falcons also Mavericks and. Nova's and Comets, and Ford Galaxys Cougars and Corvairs and Barracudas.👍👍👍👍👍 Anything before the 90's LOL Pretty much oh and Fords my favorite is 1931 Coupe. Chevrolets 57 to 70's only. 😀 Sounds like the lifters are tapping.... But that's a nice car 4 sure!!!! It has a mean STANCE! I'm in love with that car!💕
Love the older models cuz I’m OLD !! I was married to a Chevy man back in the day. He is 73 now and still building em. Working on a 57 Chevy now. I’ll send ya a pic or two if I see your email. Love the videos !!
I use to own a 66 Ford Falcon Futura station wagon I bought for $75 and drove it home 1 barrel carburetor straight 6 had a lot of rust really enjoyed driving her for years✝️
I like the 64 Falcon grille better, but that is about the only difference in the years. I learned to drive on my dad's '65 Falcon Econoline club wagon van. They had the Falcon name on the doors. It really was similar to the cars. It was a 3-speed stick shift. It was so easy to stall that I took my driving test on my aunt's '63 Fairlane 500 and it ended up stalling which usually meant you failed with a stick, but hers was an automatic and when you turned power steering to a lock it stslled the engine. The policeman said, "Restart and keep going". I passed. I had been driving on the farm and driveway from the time I was10 ! The policeman said " You have driven before, haven't you ?" I told that I had driven on the farm.
I'm a retired tooling guy. Love tinkering with the old Ford's. As I'm 62 and a Ford guy, this is my favorite era as well. I had a 1964 Ford Falcon Futura, "Hollywood Edition." Wish I kept her but I traded it for a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.
Those shock tower mounts are the most rare thing on it!! I had to put mustang tower caps on mine with a 65 mustang 6 cylinder shock. Doesn’t look original but works
My Brother had a 1970s era plymouth roadrunner and that car he worked on everyday after school and worked at a restaurant as a dishwasher at 16, he paid for everything on that car, and he even worked on the motor as well as the body.. that was a solid car. Mag tires and 8 track.. he had hydrolics to lift the back end up .. that was so cool, even cooler girl me his little Sister a ride to high school jamming that 8 track.. Kiss or Boston.. loved it .❤️❤️ Your bringing back tons of memories when I would watch him climb under the hood .
Oh wow, until you said rear ashtrays, I had forgotten all about them! I never smoked, but I remember snapping those metal lids open and closed on the 68 Chevy Impala station wagon. I remember how much room was in the engine compartments of cars of this era. Today you open the hood on a new car, and it seems that every square inch is packed tight with who the heck knows what. I wish your cousin luck selling it. I think it would sell quickly, especially with this detailed honest video to back it up. This was a nice treat Dave, thanks! Good health and happiness, and hugs and kissies for Bella!
In the 70s I owned over 20 Ford LTD alright all styles and colors the only one I never owned was a convertible but 2 door 4 door station wagon I just love the style and the engine were good. and easy to work on .
Love it ! 60's era fords are the best . I had 64 falcon sprint ,260 4speed i wish i still had it . You can get most parts for these cars easy. Get it !
Those are nice cars , Back in high school a friend had one , 289 convertible 4 speed . Was a nice rare car , It got painted yellow , and not a great paint job at that .
That's a really nice car - I remember as kids we used to put small toys in the ashtrays in the back seats. I like watching you working on cars and explaining what you are doing as you go along.
Very nice. I had a early 70’s Ford galaxy 500. Driver side rear frame rusted thru. Came out one morning and it was just hanging there. Had to junk it, no one would touch it, sad day for me Clean car other than that. Peace
If i remember correctly, all the old Ford 140/170/200/220/240 six cylinders had the hydraulic lifters from the factory with the long rocker rail. I have a Chiltons Motor Age repair manual 1966 edition with specific Falcon listing in it. It's yours if it could help you out any. I'm about 45 minutes north of Springfield Missouri if your in that area sometime, i can meet up and hand it to ya. Good luck on the Maverick and the Falcon.
Nice project u have there Dave...... I have a 1965 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible, with a 200 c.i., 6 cylinder in it. When I got it, it didn't have the Front or Rear BRAKE assembly .... and I really can figure out what SIZE "SHOES" go on it in the Front or Rear ?? and same with the "Wheel Cylinders"... no one can tell me anything for sure. Not many guys around anymore that can tell you the real deal. I was hoping you could help me out with the SHOE(s) Sizes, and Wheel Cylinder SIZES(s). Front and Rear. Any help will be most appreciated. THANKS
